hi my 10 mth DD is still waking at nite 4 a bottle. i have tried resettling her without success and she seems to be starving. it is the only bottle she gets as she has weaned herself and refuses bottles during the day. just wondering if anyone else had this problem. will she grow out of this or will i need to get tough. she eats plenty during the day so i dont know why she is waking up hungry.
she eats-
7.30 banana and weetbix
11.30 custard
2.30 fruit
4.00 cheese or biscuit
5.30 tin of food and tub of yoghurt
600 bed

it could be more of a comfort thing and force of habit. my DS does the same thing so i give him a bottle of water and he goes back to sleep:D
because she refuses bottles during the day she could be making up for it at night too.

My 10mth old is doing the same. We have started reducing the amount we put in the bottles. He use to have 250mls per bottle at night and have been gradually reducing it and he is now taking 100mls. Slow process, but we are seeing results. Once he gets the bottle into his mouth he settles and goes to sleep. Probably not idea, but it works for us.
At first I thought he was hungry but now I think it is more a comfort thing for him as he eats loads during the day.

When DD1 did this when she was a bub, i started giving her water. She eventually realised she wasn't gonna get anything good out of it, and if she WAS really thirsty, then she'd drink it! :D
At the moment if DD2 wakes for a bottle, then i give her about 60 mls, its enough to put her back off to sleep. One day i'll get tough, atm i just don't want her to wake her big sis as well by crying the house down! lol
my DS is one and he still wakes for a bottle at 4 in the morning, the way i see it is that it gets him to sleep in longer in the morning LOL Whats good for him is good for me
