Hi Im due on the 17th September and have been told Ill be having my c-section in my 38 week around the 5th of September. I decided I would have a elective this time as my last labour was horrible and it ended in a emergency c-section which had complications. I didnt want to go down that path again, so I thought Id have a elective just so I know my birth will be postive.
My OB will be booking me in and giving me a date at my 34wk appointment. Cant believe I only have around 7 weeks to go.....:)

I'm due the 24th September and have no idea when I'm having my c-section. But it should be a sure bet for September:yes:

My EDD is 18th September but if I book in for a c-section it will be when I am 39 weeks which will be the 11th. I have until I am 35 weeks to decide for sure if I will have a repeat caesarean or not. My first born was an emergency caesarean due to deep transverse arrest. I will probably opt for the caesar because I think I would just be constantly worried about ending up with another emergency.

Hi ladies! Im due on the 7th October and have been told Ill be having my c-section in my 38 week on the 24th September. I decided I would have a elective this time as I was induced at 38 weeks and my last labour was terrible and it ended in a emergency c-section which had complications. I didnt want to have to go through all that again, so I thought Id have an elective to make sure it doesnt happen again.

Hi everyone

I'm booked for a c-section 9th September (39 weeks), also second baby first was em c-section.

Am actually more worried about the elective because of having time to think about it and can't really imagine calmly having drip put in and spinal etc when not having contractions. Labour was a great distractor!

Is anyone else at the Mater in Brisbane?

Hi i know what you mean, i havent had a c-section before but i was given a spinal after i had DS to go to surgery to repair my tear so i was all pumped up from his birth that i was distracted and didnt feel the spinal. Im just worried that i will feel everything :dizzy: but... i keep telling myself that its just going to be for a few minutes before i wont feel it anymore and then i get to meet bub!!!! so that makes me feel a bit more confident in the proceedure... sorry just :ecomcity::ecomcity:

I have my OB appointment today so im hoping :fingerscrossed: they will give me a date!!!!!!!

Have a good day ladies
