Hello fellow yummy mummies :)

Well today I had my 12 week scan and it went really well! Our little bub was resting and didn't want to move and the sonographer kept pushing my belly really hard and jiggling me, I hated her doing this! I felt like saying let my baby sleep! But I know she had to do it to check everything was alright. We recieved a complimentary dvd of the scan and photos which was a very pleasant surpirse :) Here are a couple of shots from today.

Our Downs testing results are in... The lady told me that after my scan today I was a 1:917 which is a low risk. Apparently woman with 1:300 or lower is considered high risk. She then proceeded to tell me that with the combined results my risk was 1:2830 which is extremely low!! :smiliedance: She said my results represented that of a 15 year old downs testing, I couldn't have asked for a better result! I am so so happy and over the moon that all is progressing nicely :yelclap:
My dates have been pushed back a few days. I am now due January 24th instead of 21st so that puts me today at 12 weeks 2 days.
The count down is now on for the 20 week scan, only 8 weeks to go!

So glad to hear your NT scan went well today readytotry. Great pics too.

My little one had it's legs waving around in the air....too cute (got a great photo of that too).

What a relief that your risk was very low. Ours worked out at 1:4701 which we were very happy about.

Bring on the next scan........

:rolleyes:hey thats awsum news congradulations. I remember my 12 week scan and she wouldnt stop bouncing around so they found it hard trying to do the measuring, so they tilted the bed back to try and stop her which it worked nicely so they managed to get eveything done thankfully.

congrats on great scan results and cute baby! :)

when i had my NT scan bubs kept moving so much. it was really cute. my mum was there and everything which was good (my partner had to work that day - he did go to my dating scan a few weeks earlier :)). the sonographer even got me to lie on each side. i dont know if thats something they get eveyone to do or if it was becoz bubs was moving so much.

did all of you get the blood test as well as the scan? my scan results were 1 in over 4000 (i cant remember the exact number), but i cant afford to get the blood test taken and my dr cant bulk bill it. has anyone else just had the scan done and not the bloods? how much does this affect the results?

Congrats RTT, really happy to hear all went well.

I was lucky to have a nice sonographer too. She said the neck measurement was very thin but didn't say exactly what it was.

You got some great clear photos too.
