Hi all,
I am in the process of buying a new car. I am liking the look of the Ford Territory- Ghia, but have heard mixed reviews about them. Has anyone got one, what do you like or dislike about it! Any help or even suggestions on a similar car would be great!
Anna
My SIL has one and if were in need of a new car we would consider the territory. The are very spacious, very nice to drive, good on fuel and you get all the extra additions like 2 extra seats etc. My SIL also got the dvd player, leather seats and all the jazz which makes it alot better. Plus the height of it is excellent for getting your children in and out of car seats. You don't have to bend over or anthing like that.
Hope this helps.
We've got one and LOVE it.
Plenty of room, you can fit three carseats across the back. Or if you've only got two kids, they can't touch each other :D
The reverse sensors and very handy in car parks.
Love the hangbag spots down beside the front seats (they are also designed to hold a bottle of wine, but don't fit champagne bottles *sigh*).
3 position seat memory, hit your number and they seat adjusts height, tilt etc, just the way you like it.
Love the lockable drawer under the driver's seat for your valuables.
It does go when you put the foot down (pity it only comes in auto though).

My pick would be the BMW X5. And at only $110,000 what a bargain.
Ok this might be my dream car. Know ALL about them.
Don't know anything about the Ford Territories though sorry.
I do drive a 2 door sports car at the moment though and when any babies arrive I will be sad to part with it although DH is insisting it will become his car!!! But with a motorbike and a truck and the need for a family car, I'm thinking we don't need 4 vehicles:banghead:
Good luck with the purchase of your car though
We looked at the Territory and would have loved one but at the end of the day we got a Falcon station wagon as it had the biggest boot space.
They are very nice though the Territorys.

A car which is similar (but better LOL!!) is a Toyota Kluger.
I drive one and I love it!!! We got the CVX model which has the leather seats (great for spills), the two seats at the back which fold flat to the floor when not in use, 6 stack CD player, ABS, roof racks & heaps of storage compartments.
Oh what a feeling! :smiliedance:

Thanks for all the reviews- Sounds great
Have heard nothing but good comments on the territory- everyone loves them, BUT many people have said they're bad on fuel. Has anyone found this???
Yep they are, but then it is a big car. If fuel cost is a major factor there's prob better economy cars of a similar size (but they aren't as cool :D ).

Around town we get 15 litres per km. On long trips it will come down to about 10. We love it anyway. I have never driven a big car before and have found it so easy to drive. My parents travelled in the back seat from Brisbane to Byron Bay and we as comfortable as anything (and my father is rather tall).

My husband and I both have them, but he is a Ford Dealer. We have found them great to drive and haven't had any problems with them. Recently my sister and her family were over from the UK and we put the two toddlers in the additional back seats and then the 4 adults sat quite comfortably in the front and middle seats.
