I guess ya'll know my story by now, but will brief for all newbies (there seems to be a few of you lately!) My hubby and I have been TTC for 13 months. He is o's on a deployment with the navy for 6 months so we are obviously not active at the moment - very difficult when he is out of the country :p Anyhoo, we have lost two bubs to ectopic pregnancies and one of the things that was an external sign of each ectopic was that I fainted...

Well this morning I fainted. I was at a gym fitness class and felt a bit dizzy, so I laid myself down on the ground and proceeded to pass out! Very embarrassing to say in the least...

I am 2 weeks late for my last period, and since I am so used to TTC I have habitually been watching for all those 'vital signs' of pregnancy. I felt myself get excited that my period was late, my boobs were sore and that I had heartburn...

Anyhoo - after I fainted I went to the doctor and got some blood tests done. I will get the results on Tuesday, but I know that I'm not pg. I did a HPT the other week and got a BFN and IF I were pg I would be about 10 weeks along! I just feel so stupid for even considering the possibility... :banghead:

Has anyone else felt the same stupidity? You know that your partner was away at that crucial time of month, or that you never made it to the bedroom...? Does anyone else out there ritually watch bodily symptoms even when there is absolutely no possibility of a BFP??

Oh Ally big hugs for you:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: i know how upsetting it can be to get your hopes up when deep down you just know it's not possible. it just makes the realization of the BFN even harder to take. I hope the docs have some answers for you for your fainting.

Sure have hun and it's because you want this so badly that it totally consumes you.

Just keep that hope alive, because it is going to happen for you. A great saying someone said to me when we were on our long ttc journey was "what is right for you will come to you when it is right for you" and it is only now, looking back that I can truly appreciate what that means.

The hardest thing about ttc is that it is totally out of your control, with most things in life you can make the decision to do something and then straight away you make that possible - you are in control.

I can honestly say that I sympathise with you and know how you feel and all I can do is offer my shoulder to cry on and tell you that I am here any time if you need to chat.

:hugs: and  from me to you!

Hi Ally

I remember before we were actively ttc I was charting my temp and using the OPK in readiness even though we werent yet trying , I just wanted to get a feel for what my body was doing. Anuway, dh was working away a lot at the time and I remember getting excited on two consecutive monhs because I thought thre were symptoms EVEN THOUGH it would have had to have been an mmaculate conception if I was... I think we are possibly preprogrammed to look out for any possible symptoms when we each that magical stage of being ready iykwim. I know where you are coming from :-)
When's your DH back? I hope everything works out for you and that you get your BFP soon :hugs:

2 months down - 4 months to go til DH gets home. But hey - thats already a third of the time gone - makes it sound just a tinsy bit better :yelclap:

The worst thing for me - I had cysts around Christmas and January, and since then, my PMS symptoms are like pregnancy symptoms EVERY MONTH!!!

They used to be simple and straightforward. Now I get ridiculously tender breasts for 2 WEEKS!! Metal tasting for about 3 days, heartburn, and really tired. I have checked with mr dr every month and its absolutely nothing each time.

How the hell do I tell when I am PG?? there better be some bloody good symptoms!!!:D

ally ... I tested quite a few times when I was on the pill! I know the pill isn't 100% effective, but it's pretty good and I'd have virtually no symptoms at all and just 'feel' like I could be pregnant (not that I'd actually know cause I've never been pregnant before!) ... they were all negative of course!

Shananaaah ... I think that when you get pregnant those symptoms just continue and don't stop. Not a really pleasant feeling is it? I'm CD4 now and I'm still extremely tired - good thing the weekend is here!

Wasn't it a smack in the face this morning when I woke up and AF was on my doorstep (so to speak...) Ah well - no immaculate conception for me this month! Nevertheless, its only 4 months til hubby gets home, so its back onto the folate and vitamins!!

Yeah, I too have done that.....

A few times thought I might be pregnant but if I was it would only have been via miraculous conception.. haha..

but when I did fall pregnant hubby was confused cause he said we hadnt had sex in weeks.... I ofcourse knew the exact dates we had been baby dancing...

its the most organised I have ever been in my life.. lol.
