Fussy eater!! 17 month old

Lachlan has become extremely fussy. He now won't eat anything like spag bol, apricot chicken or any pasta. He just spits out everything!!!! I ended up giving him chips and fish fingers tonight for dinner and he happily ate them!!! I didn't fry them, just baked them with no oil. He seems to like finger food that he can feed himself. Does anyone have any ideas???? He can't live on chips!

Also can i give him Nutella on sandwiches?

Frittata is one my DS likes. I take our leftover vegies or roast chicken and mix them with a couple of eggs, a splash of milk, some cheese and a pinch of mixed herbs and I pour them into mini-muffin pans and give them to him as finger food.

Mini pizzas with cooked pumpkin and finely shredded zucchini is another one that goes down well.

I would keep persisting with him though. He might get past it if he sees you won't cater too much for his fussiness.
