Do you get worse when you are sick? I have bad anxiety which is controlled by meds, but whenever I get a bad cold I feel myself slipping a little.
My depression and anxiety go through the roof if I am tired/fatigued, not so much if I am getting a cold.
However, I think the illnesses all manifest in different ways for us all. It's probably just your "normal"

Yes definately
Also when I am tired or TTOM etc
I think it is because symptoms of illness are often quite similar to those of anxiety & you start to confuse the normal experiences of being ill with the beginnings of an anxiety attack.
So if I feel a bit dizzy and fluey then my body kind of reacts as if I am having a panic attack-even though the fluey feeling is completely normal.

Glad to know I am not alone! Thanks ladies. I have been sick with a throat infection and cold for a week and am so tired from it. I am feeling really drained and down trodden, and am hoping the anxiety doesnt bear its ugly head (I have OCD) I hope I feel better soon, I hate being sick!!
hi,
just wanted to check if you're better now.
:hugs:
The most depressed I have ever been was when I had Glandular Fever. My old GP (he retired last year:() knew that whenever my depression or anxiety were really bad I would have a physical sickness.
