Eczma around eyes

My DS is nearly 6 months old and drooling like crazy! As a result, he has some awful eczma around his eyes and is constantly rubbing them even when he's not tired because they are so itchy.

Just wondering if there is anything I can put over/around his eyes that is safe? I have just been using sorbelene over his face to try and stop the dryness but of course as soon as he drools it all comes off!

I use mostly Cetaphil lotion and cream, and also balms like QV Kids balm. I've just checked all the different creams I have bought for dd's excema and most say avoid eyes.

Having said that, I have put cream around her eyes before, to just below the eyebrow & under the eye up to the crease. I try to stop her rubbing her face for a while to let it soak in.

If you don't want to risk it, maybe just a cool wet facecloth dabbed over his eyes may provide some relief?

My DD had Eczema around her eyes, too. I went to the GP and she prescribed Elidel. Was completely gone in a few days.
