Does anyone else have the problem of the wires coming out of there bras and poking them in the boobs or is it just me!! I have recently started using the lingerie bags to wash them in, and it still happens and it HURTS!! Can anyone recommend a Bra that wont come apart in the wash, that is comfy and pretty??? Are the ones at Myer and Target any good, or should I try Bras & Things??
I actually like Elle McPherson bras....Ive found them reallly comfortable..that is the sensible ones without frills and spills.
I have about 6 pairs of Berlei (I think?, the tags have worn out in them!)Sweatergirls in various colours (mainly white but also black, apricot and pink) and have had them for about 4 years, some of the first ones I bought are starting to look tatty. Even now I've got preg boobies they still fit well, as a lot of my others don't. They're not exactly what you'd call sexy but they are practical and comfortable.
Berlei and Bendon are pretty good, as are the few Lovable ones I have.
Most lingerie is meant to be hand washed but who has the time to do that these days, huh? :)
Be sure when you put the bras in the wash to not only use a washing bag to put them in but also to reduce the ferocity of the spin cycle. Also, don't stick them in with heavier garments that they can get entangled with (like jeans). I put my bras in with only other small items like socks and knickers.
And don't put them in a dryer at all. The heat damages the elastic, making it easier to break through by the underwire.

hi! ive been working at bras and things for 2 years now, and before that i always brought my bras from kmart. the kmart ones always had wires poking through after a few washes, but since working at bras and things i buy them from there (40% discount  )
i still wear the bras i brought when i first started! berli are great, so are lovable. and the b'n't brand "short stories" is awsome, especially when you buy when sales are on. you can often pick up bras for $10 or $20.
we also recommend washing them in a wash bag, and if you do this and the wires still poke through we send them off to faulties and you can get a credit to get a diferent bra.

where bouts in Qld are you??I have found Triumph minimizer bra's to be brilliant (If you've got big ones) I got so sick of buying bra's that I fell out of. I bought my first one from Bra's n things for $55 I then ordered more over the phone through the Triumph outlet at Wynum for $20 and they posted to me no problem! I'm sure you can order through them from anywhere in Oz
Am I allowed to give their number on this forum?
Or i'm sure you could look them up:thumbsup:

The problem ISN'T the quality of the bra, nor is it the way in which you are looking after it.
THE SIZE IS TOO SMALL!
When the wires start poking out of the bra, it simply means that you need to go up a size (or more).
If your bra fits correctly, then the part of the bra that contains the wires should be FLAT AGAINST YOUR CHEST. If not, then you need a bigger size.
Buy a bigger size (better yet - go get fitted!) and marvel at how much longer it will last!

I just wanted to point out The Bra Bar (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=18039). There have been a few good recommendations in there, not just for larger breasted women. :D
