Ovulating after coming off the pill

Hi guys,

I came off the pill in February and haven't had a period since so I am having trouble with trying to find out when I ovulate (if I am even ovulating at all that is!)... I told my doctor that I still haven't had my period and he said that it will take a while for my cycles to become regular which I knew but does this mean I am not ovulating and won't ovulate until I have my period?? This whole thing is confusing so I was hoping that maybe someone on here has been through this or knows something about situations like this...

The first time I came off the pill I ovulated a whole week later than usual, do you keep checking all the way through your cycle??

The second time everything was completely normal and I fell pregnant straight away, so I have no idea how that stuff works!!

This time I went off the pill in May and no AF or pregnancy so far. I guess it's different each time :confused:

My doc is taking blood tests to check my hormone levels but I agree it may take a while for AF to rear its ugly head :laughing: I've also started taking chaste tree berry tablets to balance my hormones.

I would almost seek a second opinion as your period should return within 3 months. I went off the pill early January and my period didnt return until mid April. I was about to make a drs appt when it finally arrived. If you haven't got it by this time next month i would definately seek a second opinion.

AF should've returned by now, if you stopped taking the pill in Feb

definatly go and seek another opinion, you will probably need a few tests done to see why it hasnt' arrived yet

normally you ovulate before you have AF, since you havn't had AF yet, its most probably that you havn't even Ovulated yet

reasons for it not arriving, may be due to endo, cysts, excessive weight gain/loss, stress,

I probably wouldn't wait any longer to see a gyno about it :yes:

I would be going for a second opinion too. When I came off the pill I waited until I was due and then got AF as I usually did on the pill and then just didn't take it anymore. I got AF as usual after that until I fell pregnant 2 months later, but we had an :angel: baby. So now I waiting for AF as well.

Who would have thought there would come a day when we actually wanted AF.
