Freckles

I have found a freckle on my 7 month old baby today near her hips -
she isnt exposed to the sun ... so Im confused about how it got there
can they happen this early?

My little one has a freckle on the top of her thigh, I too was a bit confused as to how it got there as I am very careful with sun exposure, anyway I was showing it to her Daddy during her bath tonight and he has one in the exact same spot! I think some moles and skin markings are heriedatary. I have a spot (just under my breast) and my mum,cousin and poppy all have the same spot.
I would'nt worry about it - by all means show the Doctor for peace of mind
Maybe someone in your family has one there too.... :)

The dude has 3, forehead, thigh and foot.

At the same age I started getting freckles, (I asked my mum :p ) and I have lots now :eek: . I keep the dude out of the sun, but unfortunately I can't exactly keep him in a bubble :rolleyes: .

Yep Charlee has a few (8 months old), and Mac had them too as a bub, now she's got a heap. I am covered in freckles, so never really worried about theirs, just figured they were hereditary....

Both my hubby and I have freckles and small moles and all of our children have (in their first year) developed tiny little freckles on parts of their body which have no contact with the sun. Sebastian has one near his penis that just appeared one day when he was still a baby - the first time I noticed it I thought it was a spot of poo and I kept trying to wipe it off ! It is in such an obvious place that there is no way I could of missed it before :D

So yes it's very normal :)

DD has no freckles yet...she's 9 months old.

I have a few though...and on one of my arms, they are in exactly the same spot that they are on my mothers same arm! So I think perhaps it could just be a heriditary marking.

On a side note - does anyone else NOT have a single mole? I have NONE - and have yet to encounter someone who doesn't have ANY at all. Well, at least those who I ask. Or am I freak? lol.

Some are definately hereditary !
My sister has a little freckle on her left leg quite small hardly visible
I have one on my left leg in the same spot about the size of a finger nail.
When my nephew was a few months old on his left leg in the same area he had one appear but its about the size of a 50 cent piece & is quite pale.
So im looking forward to see if bubs now gets one on his left leg also hehehe sorta funky if he does. :D
