leaflet delivering?

Hi all,

Does anyone do this? how much do you get paid from it? I need some done but the companies are charging a fortune to get it done, so i want to konw what the actual walker gets:)

i cant remember the actual amount but its only like a few dollars per every couple of hundred you hand out.
You could ring one of the ads in the papers and pretend you are interested in doing it and then find out how much it pays. :o

what you get, depends on how much you deliver... usually only a few bucks per thousand catalogues :eek:
Not much really..but it can be a good form of excercise, and it can beat sitting around doing nothing :thumbsup:

i looked into this also, as I felt I needed to contribute to the income in some kind of way. but my mum, who used to work for the paper talked me out of it really quickly. She said id get like $20 for something like a THOUSAND leaflets handed out. :eek: Doesnt really seem worth it!

It definitely isn't worth it. You spend about 4 hours bundling up the leaflets and then another 3 hours delivering the things all for $20-$30. I did it with the intention of bringing some money in and losing weight, but lugging around that many leaflets for that little money was just ridiculous.

I think I read somewhere (a leaflet - natch :laughing: ) advertising for leaflet deliverers. They were quoting pay rates to the deliverer of 7c per leaflet delivered:eek: and that was if it was outside of your own neighbourhood (I think its less if you're delivering in your own local area). So that might be close to what the deliverer will get.

If you want to do this kind of work but want some more cash than whats been discussed then the best thing to do is ring your local real estate agencies (or better yet send them a letter) and offer to deliver their individual agents flyer etc. I have a couple of people who do it for me, I pay them $50 for 500 delivered.

Oops forgot to add you usually dont have to do anything to the flyers just deliver them, most agents have them already cut up etc.
