Im so frustrated right now!! I hope you dont mind but I really need to vent!
Our next door neighbour is semi-retired and has far too much time on his hands. He's forever doing little bits and peices in his yard etc to keep himself occupied.
One of his 'hobbies' (dare I say) is to spray his house for pests. He does it once a month, or every 2 months or so. The fumes are always overpowering and constantly waft into our house. (not to mention they waft right into our baby's bedroom  )
I try to be very consious (sp?) of what chemicals are used in our home (particularly since becoming pregnant again - and the fact that we have a toddler that puts things in her mouth). Anytime we've had pest sprays done we get a professional to do it and use a guy who uses quite natural alternatives.
He is spraying his house again today. Luckily my DH came home for 10 mins so I asked him to go over and have a chat with the next door neighbour.
The other thing thats annoying me is that all my washing is on the line, which is right next to the fence. All our clothes and towels will smell.
Apparently the stuff he uses is super strong. If it crawls or flies it will kill it for sure. DH asked him if he ever wears a mask and he just looks at him and says 'no!'. Anyway, DH asked him to let us know next time he plans on doing it so we can close off that side of our house (esp. the baby's room), and because Im pregnant so the fumes are really bad. He agreed but who knows if he actually will tell us.....
Are we over-reacting? Or am I right to not want those sort of chemicals around my family?
