Wow, never thought I'd find myself in this situation. My father is one of 12, mother is one of two, I'm one of three. DH's one of three and he's in a similar situation to me with big families.
We've been TTC since 09/03. First IVF was in 11/05, which resulted in BFP and then miscarriage at 7wks. Devastating. Since then we've had one FET (did not survive defrosting), four fresh cycles, the latest in 06/08 with a BFN on July 2 and a frozen egg cycle in April 08.
Needless to say, all very stressful. BFNs for all fresh IVF/ICSI cycles. Am so over it, and starting to lose hope, which I don't want to do.
We have two frozen embryos waiting to be used, but i'm scared about whether or not they will survive defrosting based on previous experience. :gloomy:
Is there anyone out there who has any positive things to share as I think I need it before we try again. Thinking of trying again in August.

Does anyone have any thoughts about accupunture. I don't have any suggestions. Tried it once on our second attempt, but I didn't find it made any particular difference. I live in a country town and the nearest accupunturist is 130km away, as is my f/s.

Anyway, just rambling and looking for some positive feedback. I appreciate anything anyone has to offer as we all know this can be a lonely journey.

I read your thread and just had to reply to send you lots of :hugs::hugs::hugs:

It must be tough putting yourself through all that, but it's for such a great cause.

Re the acupuncture, I have only started it this cycle after trying unsuccessfully for nearly 12 months, so I dont know if it's going to do anything or not. But I have heard that IVF and Acupuncture go really well together. Could be worth a shot for your next go at it. It's a weekly appt accompanied by some herbs/tablets.

Goodluck hun :babydust2:

:hugs: Lulu

We've been TTC#1 for almost the same amount of time as you..

This road is very tough & we still haven't even achieved a BFP.

Hang in there. Times are tough but I suppose hope is what keeps me going.

Good luck with your next cycle. I hope you get your BFP soon.

Thanks guys for your words of encouragement.
I know the journey is hard for everyone travelling along it, but I get frustrated because at times it just seems so unfair and the other night I was so down in the dumps after yet another unsuccessful cycle.

Anyway, I'm pleased you all wrote and I will definitely join that group WotWillBWillB :shakehands:

It's good to be able to talk with people in the same situation.

Hi Lulu, :shakehands:

I'm sorry to hear you've been down in the dumps about ttc. :hugs::hugs: I know exactly how you feel, it can be soooooo frustrating.

I'm a big believer that chinese herbs and accupunture can help with fertility problems. Accupunture in conjunction with IVF is very beneficial especially around transfer time.

I 2nd that you come and join us ladies in the JULY + AUGUST Testing Calender - Long Time TTC'ers and Assisted Conception. We are all so supportive and in similar situation to yourself after ttc for so long.

See you soon!
