I think there are 3 different ones.

The first one I got from the hospital admissions.

The second one I got just last week from Priceline Pharmacy. I walked in there to get some panadol and they offered me the bag.

The 3rd one you get at Target - this is usually after you have the baby.

Is it just for certain states of Australia or can you get them from Victoria

As far as I'm aware they are for all states (but someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I got the 1st one at my antenatal class (but if you don't do any classes then I believe that you'll get it at your hospital admission interview - that's what happened to a couple of my friends). The 2nd I got during my hospital stay when I had DS. And the 3rd I collected from Target using a voucher that's in the 2nd bag. I hope that helps you...

Oh cool I'm going to ring up about my bag.
I only got the 1 at one of my first antenatal appointments. I ended up missing out on the hospital stay bag as I only stayed in for 4 hours after the birth of bubs and then left.
I'll have to go and suss the one at Target out as well.

i only got the 1st one too.

DD was in special care then in RCH so we missed out, and so never got the 3rd either.
Are they really worth the hassle though??? What in them??

I know we got a baby bag from amcal from a friend that works there and it had lots of great stuff in it. a full size avent bottle, a genuine tupperware container, full size baby wash and dummies ect. was awesome

I just emailed them to find out if my hospital gives them out to new mums as I havent asked them at the hospital yet.

I dont really want to ask and feel stupid if they say what is that?

Some hospitals dont give them out as they dont want to been seen as they support certain products as they have no say as to what goes into the bags... I'm sure there was a list on line...hmmm

I recieved the 2nd bag in the mail today must have been one of the things I have emailed to ask for samples.

But I also got an email from Bounty Bags and they say my hospital only gives out the second bag not the first.

Hi All,
I had my baby privately and this meant that I did not get any of the bounty bags. I was searching on the website and discovered that there are a number of chemists in each state that stock them. They are free of charge, you just go in and ask for one and they give them to you. When you are pregnant you request the "Mother To Be Bag" and then after you have had the baby you can ask for the "New Mother Bag". In the New Mother Bag there is a coupon that you take into Target and they then give you the last bag which is called the "New Baby Bag". There is a different one for boys and girls.
Here is the link to the search function to see what chemist near you stock them.

Hope this helps and that you all enjoy your free samples. I will also say that the ones here in NSW to not seem to be nearly as good as the ones that were mentioned earlier by someone in QLD. No full size samples or Tupperware in any of my bags. Can't complain though as they are free after all and I did enjoy using all the samples and the $10 off at Target voucher that you get in every bag.

Probably depends on the hospital...I had #2 privately & will be having #3 privately at a different hospital & both hospitals give out the bags.

The Northern Territory don't give them out boo hoo and to top it off none of the chemists here have them either (or there aren't any on their website) grrrr not fair I want my free samples!!!
I loved the one I got when I had dd the mother to be bag had a whole family sized block of cadbury choc yummmmm ate it all myself too :D.
I liked that there were the marcolan samples too as they came in handy (I wouldn't have bought the ture in hindsite though as the samples would have got me through).

i just emailed bounty and explained that because of alex's rough birth and the following few months in hospital, we didnt get the 2nd or 3rd bag and that our chemist out here in black hole dont have them, she asked for my address so i think we're getting them sent to us free!! :smiliedance: alex may be too old for some of the samples, but they'll come in handy for the next bub when we eventually get preggas!!!:yelclap:

I got mine at my book in appointment at the hospital. Previously these appointments were at 32 weeks but they have changed the system and now they see you at around 12 weeks..

I have had 4 in the last 4 yrs and they have not changed much. The same samples are given and basically the same pamphlets. The only good thing is they now give a sample of this months parenting mag!!

ETA The hospital I go to is Public.
