Young family moving to Gold Coast!!

Hey all!! Hubby and I are thinking of moving to Mudgeeraba area in the next few months. Hubby has had a job offer so is going over on Monday to check it out, would love to meet some contacts and others with kids.. We have Mr 2 and Miss 5 months, hubby and I are 23 and 27 (eek!)
Would love to hear from anyone as to what life is like on the Gold Coast or just chat in general. Really sad about leaving family and friends, but will hopefully get a good support network across the ditch before too long.

Hi 2ratbags mum - Unfortunately don't live there yet but that is exactly where we are planning to move to at the end of next year. My MIL lived in Mudgeeraba for about 11 years and both DH and I love it there as well. Welcome to Bub Hub.

Hi 2ratbags mum.. I live at Merrimac - which is 5 minutes from Mudgee, dont know what area u live in now but I'm originally a Melbourne girl and I love living on the Gold Coast.

I think its a great place to bring up kids and I'd love to chat more with you.

The bad thing bout' G.Coast is it can be hard to meet people as it's a very transit place - people coming and going all the time, but wouldn't change where I live for anything. If you want to chat my email addyis mel@randysrods.com.au

i live in carrara, mudgee is only 5 mins up the high way i use to work up at mudgee kindy before bub and depending on where about in mudg u are moving most of the area is nice...

We live on the northern end of the Gold Coast and love it here.
The life style is leisurely and everything is close (beach, broadwater, Brisbane).
If you like shopping (one of my favourite past times :D ) there is plenty of variety and some of the restaurants here are fabulous.

Great to hear from you all! We are currently living in Auckland, so will be a big move for us. A big mind bogggle acually, thinking about selling up and buying a new house etc.. hubby is in Surfers at the moment for the week, so is checking out the job and having a bit of a squiz at houses..

I live on the Gold Coast with my DF... we are currently in Nerang, but may actually end up near you by the end of the year!! We have a weekly meeting with quiet a few of the mums from the Gold Coast, you are more than welcome to join!! Theres even a couple of girls who have also just recently moved from NZ to the Gold Coast- so you wont be alone!

I dont have any kids atm, but Im guessing by the time you get here- I'll be with bub in arms :-)
