Baby Showers....

Hi my 2 best friends and my mum are wanting to organise a baby shower for me (which will be in another couple of months) but we are stuck for ideas on what sorts of games we could play. My mum is keen on Pin The Dummy on the Baby or Pin The Nappy on the Baby.. LOL.. But that's not really going to take up much time. I was wondering if you girls had baby showers, and if you did what sorts of things you did at the showers. i tried a google search but there is WAY too many things to go through..... most of it didnt send me in the right location... So i thought i'd ask some experienced mummies:smiliedance:

Hmmm a few games i have played at showers are:

Celebrity Quiz games - where you can ask guests to name the babies of celebrities or the other way round (eg who is Suri's mum?)

-Guess how big mums tum is - you ask each guest to cut off a piece of string or ribbon to the length they think would go around mums preggy belly

-Another quiz is to ask guests to name the baby equivilant of animals (eg what is a baby cow?)

-Get a piece of string and get 2 people to hold each end ( a clothes line) then put pegs on the line. Each guest has to hold baby in one arm (a dolly) and see how many pegs she can get off the line with the other hand in 30 seconds.

-Spit the dummy! See how far guest can literally spit the dummy - need a few dummies for this one or make sure you clean them!

At my baby showers we have done taste testing baby food - most ppl hated this one tho lol

Everyone guessed how big my belly is with ribbon - this one was lots of fun but you have to keep your chin up with some of the guesses because they dont always make you feel great :P

I had a special book made up where everyone could write down there guesses of babys date of birth, time of birth, weight and length and then a page each to write a special message for baby.

We had a bottle drinking competition to see who could finish there bottle first - really not that easy to drink from a bottle!!!!

We had a tray of little baby items and then took them away and had to see how many items we could remember.

there were a lot of other games but thats all I can remember for now, when i remember more I'll post back :D

I was meant to have my baby shower 3 weeks ago but ended up in hospital for 3 days instead... its being rescheduled for 2.5 weeks time.. if im still pregnant then *fingers crossed* and if I don't get readmitted... AGAIN
