Aden has always done this, still does! I have got up to him lots of times to find out that he is alseep, I always wait now, and usually if there is a second cry or call out I know that he is awake. Hope this helps. :)

DD is a very noisy sleeper. She can smile and laugh and giggle and then squirm and make face expressions and cry out but never wake up and always seems to go back to the contented  expression

Its just so natural, i love it becuase it means my DD is registering the day and i guess learning from it :yelclap:

Yep, Ava does that too. I get that gut clenching feeling like "here we go, am I going to be able to resettle her?"' but she is asleep.

I wonder what it is? Dreams?

My DS is the same, he will cry, do a little scream noise thingy, do a hicup sound and when I check him he is fast asleep. Scared the living daylights out of me once!!

I think they have little baby nightmares. I always wait for a second cry as both my girls are fond of a midnight wail.

Cheers

lol, you do wonder at that young what they could dream about. The laughs will come, reading these posts made me remember about a couple of weeks ago Aden was alseep in my bed, and he just started laughing, he woke up look around a bit confused but must of remember the dream because he start giggling again, it was so cute.

Do you dream a lot? I know I do and they are the craziest dreams, my DH never remembers any of his dreams, so I think aden is taking after me - poor thing
Have a good night sleep:D

My daughter does this now and again. I go in to see her after she has cried out and she is sound asleep. So it must be a normal thing.

Yeah Seth does it too. After the first couple of times, I started just waiting to see if he cried out again or just stopped before I went in because, inevitably I'd go racing in thinking something was wrong and it was me that woke him up and then he DID start crying coz I scared him!!

I'm glad to know that he's not the only one that does it though. And I'm with you guys, what could they possibly be that scared of that they have bad dreams about it?

Yep, Zack does it too. I too wonder what on earth they could be dreaming about!! I have heard too it can be a sudden tooth pain, that goes away as quickly as it came.
