Hi everyone! Sorry if this thread is too much info but i have to ask, cause im worried. I had our beautiful girl 11 days ago and tonight i noticed that things have changed with discharge. My discharge had actually gone to the whitish looking discharge that i only had to change my pad every 4 hrs and even then its not even half filled. Tonight i noticed that i started having cramping again in my tum, which i havent had since a wk ago. Then i noticed that it changed colour to bright red. So i changed my pad and then i felt a gush come out a few times. I went to check my pad half an hour after putting it on and it was filled and bright red!!!!:eek: My tummy is cramping quite hard and even now im feeling more come out. Also ive been feeling feverish all day, but my bloody themometer doesnt work so i cant tell what my temp is. :hair: Has this happened to anyone? I never had this with my other two so this is a new one to me. Should i be worried? Again sorry for TMI! :o

i'd be ringing a health line and see what they say. Doesn't sound right to me.
I would think that a call to the maternity nurse where you had Ariana (beautiful name btw - I love it) wouldnt hurt - would allay your fears.
Might be nothing but no harm in asking.
I had a similar thing happen with #1 and it turned out to be a tiny bit of retained placenta, mind u that happened to me a few days after baby, probably good idea for you to go down to the emergency room and get checked out hun your better off safe than sorry
goodluck :hugs::goodvibes:

Worth a call..however, I always have a couple of big gushes about 10days post partum.
I would go to the hospital and get checked. Hope you're ok :hugs:
Congrats on the new bub :D

It could be retained placenta or an infection, I had an infection which made the blood flow really weird for a while.
I agree mate go and get checked out or at least call the maternity ward.
I passed a clot about ten days after dd was born and it turned out that it was a uterine infection which I need antibiotics for.
:iagree: Just go to the hospy to be sure.
Good luck, I hope all is well :hugs:

I really think you should just go to your local emergency hospital or call HealthDirect 1800 022 222.

My headache is whats killing me at the moment. Ive been having them all day everyday since i was in hospital. Ive been taking panadol everyday. I dont usually get headaches so its really strange. My body's giving me the ****s!!! :hair: I just talked to my middy. Shes not too concerned about the bleeding as it can happen like that when breastfeeding. She is worried about my constant headaches that ive been having. So i have to see my Ob tomorrow.

Im glad you are in to see your OB tomorrow. Goodluck, let us know how you go!
Make sure you DONT take anything with Asprin in it! Just in case its placental, as it thins your blood.
Hope you're o.k. Let us know how you go.

:hugs: Good luck Naomi I hope that everything will be ok and you'll find out whats causing your pain. So sorry to hear that you've being having a rough trot since giving birth and hope that things return to normal for you very soon....take care of you:hugs:
ps....Ariana is such a little sweetie, so clucky and just want one of our own, congrats
I had something similiar happen to me when my DS was six weeks old. I went to the loo and just felt this huge gush... it was like I was peeing, except that it was pure, fresh blood. The gushing lasted probably 40-60 secs and scared the **** out of me.
I ended up going to the hospital and they did an urgent ultrasound... there were no retained products that they could see (they think that's what mayb have been passed while on the toilet). It also happened a month later, but to a lesser degree.
In my case, I got AF back quite quickly after delivery... so they think it might have been related to that (obviously, this isn't going to be the case with you).
It's good that you're seeing your ob tomorrow, because it might be a good idea to have an ultrasound to check to see if you have any retained products.
Good luck !!
