TTC - 40yrs and over!!!!

I was wondering if there was anyone else out there who is 40 or over and is TTC? :wave:
I've just turned 40 and am TTC for the 2nd time.:smiliedance:

Hi Hels*Bels,

I had my first when I was 37 ( but it did take 7 yrs to have her due to Thyroid issues). The thyroid issues (touch wood) are now settled and we are trying for the second.
I don't know how close you are to 40, but goodluck with the second one due in December! It's a wonderful time!! :sunshine:

I had my first at 37, it took us 6 years to have him due to infertility issues. I will be 39 when this one comes along.
Two kids will be it for us, I am getting to old for this stuff lol.

We were on a fertility program and having insemination for both bubs, which worked quite quickly (3 tries for #1 and 5 tries for #2).

Are you taking any fertility drugs to help things along?

I avoid drugs because they have messed up my thyroid in the past and I just find it hard to cope if the thyroid gets out of wack because it takes quite along time to get it back in range. :(
I trust my natropath as she deals specifically with fertility issues.
If we don't fall pregnant within the next 12mths my DH and I are quite happy with the DD we have already! :sunshine:
My cycle is fine and I'm happy with how it is improving with the herbs. I know that I am ovulating, it's just the waiting and timing game. :cool:
For the first child we were just about to go to an appointment for insemenation as the last resort and I decided to do a test as it was very close to the end of my cycle AND yes we were pregnant! :yelclap: It was also at the same time we were going to a friend's party and they were all wondering why I wasn't drinking! Very hard to cover up! :D
