Here is my stash and I need more nappies. I seem to have major issues with getting them dry in time to use again.. I love AIO but they do take a long time to try in this wet weather :hair:
2 magicalls
1 bbh bamboo
3 cushie tushies
3 cute tooshies fitted
3 itti bitt (1 pul snap in- the others sew in d/lish)
3 green kids (may need to swap I;m not sure)
1 swaddlebees side snap pocket
1 blueberry OSFA pocket
1 mokeyzdoodlez microdoodlez
I have 3 night nappies on the way too
What else can I try as I need more nappies and have number 2 on the way so will need more I can use on new bubs..(I do have terry flats but ds wriggles so much when I try to change him that its a bit hard atm).
I want some ideas for some AIO or fitteds that dry quicker. Are there ones I haven't tried yet? I don't really want to spend a lot per nappy though so price is an issue
Or ... can anyone suggest any other good quality good priced daytime fitteds to try (I actually don't mind fitteds that much but obviously AIO and pockets are easier .. and easier for dh iykwim).
I am not wanting to sew my own just at the minute but will do at some stage.. right now I just want to buy some!!
Thankyou for bearing with me.. I am still learning...
WOW:eek: I havent hear of half of them!!!
I just have a whole heap of terry flat nappies, and pilchers!!!:o
I wash fold a million different ways and put them on the bum.
I also use the dryer occasionally when it rains, and when they seem to be getting rough, the dryer seems to soften the a little.
but for the most part, I sound pretty boring,

The problem with both AIOs AND fitteds is that they have to be very absorbant to work well - so they soak up a lot of the washing water and take a long time to dry. That's just in the nature of the AIO or fitted. If you want something quick drying, you might need to look at AI2s or pockets.

I know.. but just trying to think of other nappies to try to up my stash a bit. I thought if anyone had some suggestion re the drying time that would help as well. There are lots of posts on here re: advice on brands and I thought it might be too broad a question just to ask for general advice...
any advice re: pocket nappies to try (other than green kids)?

what fold do you use for your 1 year 8 month old?

In pockets, I've only really tried GreenKids and some that a very good friend of mine made for me (or Connor, I should say :p) so I'm not the best person to ask...I'd probably go to a website that stocks quite a lot of different MCNs (like The Wee Wuns for example) and have a look at what they've got on offer.
I have a couple of WAHM made AI2s with snap-in boosters and they're brilliant...so maybe have a look at something like that?
kite or corners fold, depends on my mood.
we have even dyed some nappies here, for the days we just run around in singlet and nappy.
was good fun for my DD1,
I also invented my own fold that goes backwards, for when she is not in the mood to wear nappies.

we have a massive stash of 80+ nappies and i have cute tooshies and they still fit my 17 month old they fit very much like the iitis :D
if you want something quick drying id go with some blueberry pockets, or some snap in AI2's sugar shots are fantastic only they are out of stock atm, and patch nappies are my fave, but Em is over seas atm, she should be home this week but her nappies are made to dry quick, she lives in canberra so she makes them to dry quick, :valentine: patch nappies.
and Hollie that make Krap Katchers is now making day time nappies and they are trim and soak up so much but they dry so quick too.. we :valentine: Krap Katchers too :D
hope that has helped a little, if you would like to pm me about anything feel free :D

I love my Dandy Bumz! They are WAHM made, reasonably priced and come with a bamboo and microfibre fold up, so that it dries quite quickly. They are OSFM too.
The plain ones are cheaper but the lady is bringing them out in funky poly prints soon too.
I love, love, love them! My DS is 2 1/2 and they fit him and they fit my 9 month old DD2 too.

if you are after something snazzy with snap-ins - sugar shots all the way .. minkee and lush  as someone pointed out shes usually sold out though :o
i've actually been using a lot of cotton prefolds from real nappies which is a NZ shop (that send to aust :)) They are REALLY affordable if you get a package & they dry much quicker than my AIOs. they are quite simple to use, fold in three, then place inside a cover (i use PUL, which they also sell on their site & as part of the packages) & away you go, very easy. I have 16 magicalls, but am always needing to go to my real nappies as i'm forever waiting for them to dry. HTH.

Are the bits for bots generously sized? I am concerned that they only seem to go up to 14.5 kg.. maybe ds won't get much wear out of them..:crying: but I do love the look of the quick dry ai2.

can anyone recommend Happy Heiny pockets??
the bits for bots are definitely generously sized.
my ds toilet trained a couple of months before he turned 3, and at 13kg he was still on the tightest setting, so heaps of growing room.
he's skinny, but they were designed for a chubbier baby! ;)

thanks very much. Will ahve to try out bits for bots. I have also seen some Abby Gro A12 which seem to be quite cheap. They are supposed to dry quickly..
There's a new nappy on the market called a Safari Stuff n snap by Baby Safari. I ordered 2, recieved them on Monday and I'm sold. DS is in the medium and they fit extremely well. One was really tested today as well as DH took off shopping and he's not good at remembering to change when they are out. 3 and a bit hours later and DS was still dry, even though the nappy was soaked. No wicking or anything :)
better yet, because they are a stuffable AIO, you can customise the absorbancy to suit.
I'm definitely going to be buying more.
