im moving from qld to nsw next weekend and im moving out of a rental so obviously i have to clean it. the thing is i have a 3 yr old that makes it almost impossible for me to do anything because as soon as i finish one room i have to do it again as she destroys it.

my sister has offered to take dd for a week so she's outta my way but that will mean she has to go for a 5 hour drive in someone elses car and be in another state from me and we have never been apart before.

i dont know if i can cope with entrusting her to someone else, but she is driving me insane here because she wont listen to a word i say.

im so stressed but dont know what to do.

what do you girls suggest i do? :banghead:

While it might be a nice idea to have her out of your hair while you are trying to clean, i think i might cause more problems having her so far away especially if she has never been away from you before. If it was closer by then i would probably be more inclinded to say go for it , but being 5 hrs away if she gets homesick or your sister cant handle her then its a long way to come back.

Is there any one closer by that maybe she could stay with, even just during the day. Also if finances permitt maybe see if a local daycare would accept her just for the week.

If all else fails hire out LOTS of videos and hope they occupy her.
GoodLuck:fingerscrossed:

Perhaps you could have your sister stay with you over the weekend to help with your daughter (and the cleaning!).

Moving is an expensive thing but for around $200 u can get cleaners to come in and do it all for you:smiliedance: then you can focus on the important stuff.

I say - just tie her to a door Knob!! - Just joking. Im with Beany - could you have someone come look after her? Maybe you can bribe them with dinner as a reward or something. Got neighbours you trust? Mind you, if i had a 3 yr old and was to let someone look after her - id want to know them really well, so sis is probably best.

well, if your sis is willing to drive to you to pick her up, cant your sis stay with you for a night and help you clean and keep your DD entertained, or perhaps you can pop her in daycare for a couple of days if thats possible?

Or if you have the money, pay someone else LOL, thats what I would do

-- I hate cleaning rentals, I did it with twins and 6 months pregnant, now talk about hard! LOL but you do get there in the end. Mum did help a bit (thankfully) but its no fun hey

give your dd a scrubbing brush and get her to help, and tell her you will go to maccas for dinner and buy her a toy or something ;)
