Is it at about six months? I guess when they start solids they take less milk. My three-month-old seems to be in a feeding frenzy at the moment. Is he at his feeding peak?
Three month and four month growth spurts were really noticeable in this household. But after that, he didn't tend to feed two hourly anymore, he spaced them out a little bit more. I'd say Hamish's peak was about 4 months. Hamish didn't really start reducing his feeds until he'd been on solids for a couple of months.

I'd say growth spurt too. There's usually one around three months.
Bubs is just putting in his order for the next few months - increasing your supply to meet his needs for the growing he is going to do. It's all good (though exhausting!). Just keep your fluids up and hang in there, it should settle in a few days.

The ABA reckon that the amount that baby's intake remains consistent between birth and 6 months....I reckon they're fooling themselves :p (I read this in "Breastfeeding....naturally" the other day and thought "PFFFFFTTTTT!!!" to myself )
The 3 month growth spurt was a killer for DD too.

I've been BFing for 17 months, and in that time I've lost count of the peaks and troughs in DS's feeding patterns, it's all a bit of a blur :dizzy: :D.
He still cluster feeds at times, for example, like last night when he fed about 4 times in the course of 1.5 hours (only 5-10 minute feeds mind you, he's pretty fast). The last feed was when he dropped off to sleep, so that was a bit longer.
