I used this brand in the early months and loved it, now I just use internet cheapies.

Basically you look at the table on the information sheet in there and look up how many days your cycle is and then it tells you a date to start testing.

What the ovulations tests for is a surge in the LH hormone which is what the body produces for a short period of time when you ovulate. So say you have to start testing from CD10 for arguments sake, you need to pee into one of the cups provided around 2pm in the arvo and try to not drink too much prior and hold going to the loo for a few hours prior. You get the little eye dropper and drop a couple of drops into the test dot.

You will see a test line appear like a HPT and then if you see a second line it means that it has detected some sort of LH hormone. You test daily at the same time until you see the test line get as DARK or DARKER than the control line. Once it is as dark or darker then that means you are about to ovulate any tick of the clock.

As soon as I saw even two lines DH and I got busy BDing, and then a day or two after I had the most positive OPK.

Hope that makes sense! Hopefully this is your month and you dont have to worry about it next one, but if you do get yourself a bulk lot of cheapies off ebay or lullaby conceptions and when you hit O time, try and test say 2-3 times a day rather than daily. But at $20 a packet for Confirm its way too expensive to test anymore than 1 a day!

Hope that helps you??

For the past 3 months I have o'd the same day - CD13, so I can only speak for myself but yes generally you O pretty much the same time every month unless something gets in the way like sickness?

Generally the time between ovulation and AF is the same too - your Luteal phase. So once you know how long that is you can generally depict when you should get AF each month too.

Charting really helps you understand your body so would highly recommend getting a fertility friend account (its free) and buying yourself a thermometer and temp testing every day. You just enter all the details into FF and then you see a graph with all your stats. Each month you can compare and see if there is a trend happening - it really helps.

Temp testing really helps depict O too, as you generally have a low temp on the day of/prior to O, and then your temp increases after ovulation and stays high till AF.

Goodluck!
