OK, so I know that if the test line is lighter than the control line it means that its negative... I took 2 yesterday that showed very light lines. Then I took another today that showed a dark line, not as dark as the control but almost.

Does this mean that I am ovulating soon? Does the hormone peak slowly like that, so that if I test early tomorrow it will probably/might be darker??

Ahhhh the joys of this whole process lol

It means you will get your LH surge VERY soon! I did mine yday and they were faint, this morning dark nearly a positive and then at lunchtime definately a positive.

When you are nearing so close to a positive OPK it's best to test say 3 times a day or atleast twice as you might miss the surge and never really get a true positive OPK. THis happened to me last month as I was testing daily and I missed the surge, so this month I have been doing 3 a day around O time and its proving to show the surge much better.

Goodluck! I would do another tonight to compare it against your one earlier today.

JBelle, I got a fairly dark OPK on CD7 this month - day after AF. I have no idea why.... I didnt have any corralating temp decrease and increase though, so I've kept testing since then (CD13 for me today) and I have just seen my OPK's surge today and it is definatley a positive, so just be careful that you are not still to ovulate if you normally ovulate later. Might be worth continuing to test just incase. Goodluck!
