Hi Ladies
Just thought it might be a great idea to share what we are thinking about getting bubs for Christmas this year (considering all the sales are on :smiliedance:)
I have no idea what to get Evie I do know that I want to get her lots of books and dvds though because they are the one thing most people forget about instead they buy lots of toys.
And as DP and I said really she isn't going to need too many toys as she won't realise too much and we'd rather save the big Xmas spending amount till she is able to realise the toys!
my DD wants to get DS a jolly jumper .. so that's good. DH and I will probably get him very little to be honest. My family goes waaaay overboard with presents and I don't want him to end up like DD at that age. She had 3 of everything!
actually, maybe we'll get him a big toy box to put the stuff it! :)
this year (as he won't want a lot) i thought I might spend the $ on some nice photos of the kids and as a bonus I can give them to the family as their christmas pressies! :)

i will be buying very little for kaitlyn also...just cause they dont understand at 9months wat is going on...justin is an april baby too and his first christmas i spent way too much and he hardly played with any of it...so anyway ill just buy kaitlyn 2 pressies and save the better stuff for next christmas:yes:
I plan on not spending to much money so far I have only really looked at many 4 toys 2 being large one's and 2 smaller one's.
I know the family are going to spoil her as they have been planning Christmas since before she was even born .
We only plan on buying for the children of the family (Also some friends children )this year so most of my money at these toy sale's are being spend on them.
Our gift to our parent's home made presents for Photo albums filled with all DD's and Family photos to be exact we have Pixi photos booked for next week and also again the first week in December :)
Before Charlotte was born DH and I decided that this Xmas was going to be our best Xmas ever. Since we have been together we have either been saving for a house, wedding or baby so Xmas has kind of come and gone without us giving it much thought. So this year we have decided to splurge a little. Nothing ridiculous...but more than previous years. Charlotte will be getting a couple of bigger (noisy) things and then mainly books and dvds and also some nice clothes to wear over the Xmas/New Year holiday.
So far we have got Miss Charli:
The Laugh and Learn Kitchen (one of the big pressies)
Dancin Band Stand
Stride 2 Ride Lion
Laugh and Learn Pretty Purse (her first handbag...love it)
A cute little Giraffe ball game
Learning Bunny
It hasnt cost us very much at all so far. I picked up some great bargains at the Big W sale last night.

DPs family and the rest of my family asked us for a list of things that we wouldn't mind for Evie so have left them with lots of ideas...
Yes I think we are going to do the home made photos gifts too :D Or we were even thinking doing a photo book thingy......
Now I just have to find pressies for the nieces and nephews so I'm off to look through the catalogues once again before the weekend
Ok i need to add.. i also have a May 07 baby so the same age this xmas... Sienna opened every present she loved it.. so when partners say they dont know.. you should see our DVD...
The kids were suppose to get a trampoline for xmas but i couldnt wait its half set up out the back DH has to set the rest up..
Not sure what to get them this year i think i will wait until xmas to see what they like.. sienna has to get the cosy coupe car for sure she loves it... Jarvis will be the right age for his birthday for one...
We dont have parents left so the kids dont have many people that buy for them.. although they still gets lots of presents

Bel I can highly recommend a play kitchen for Sienna - my now 4 year old got one for her 2nd birthday and it was the best present she has ever had. She still plays with it with her friends. At 2 she spent hours making us cups of tea & "cooking" cakes it was really cute. Her little boy cousin who is now 2 1/2 loves coming to play at our house so he can play with her kitchen so it's something Jarvis would probably use when he gets older as well. Just a suggestion - one I make to everyone because it was such a good buy for us!!
We still have birthdays to get over before Christmas. I am so glad Evie's birthday is in May - my 4 year old's bd is in November and it is too close to Christmas! This year we are looking at a wooden cubby/play house of some description - has to be a decent size and weather proof! Haven't thought about Evie's christmas - she will get so incredibly spoilt by my mum & sister that I won't worry about getting her too much. With all the chaos from the older 2 I'm sure she just enjoy being in the middle of it all.
This year we are spending a bit we are getting them a cubby house which is going to cost about 1200 but i cant wait for some toys to go outside then they are getting a few toys each and some dvds and cd's to share and makailas birthday is 11 days before christmas so it always make it hard trying to think of stuff that will last her for the whole year but i have really struggled buying for a boy aged 10 months i could shop for girls anyday.
nevjay- we looked into cubby houses which are normally only short 1.5m high and we wanted it tall enough for us to be able to go in there so we are getting a wooden garden shed which looks like a cubby house but its 2.1m high it has 2 window and a verandah out the front its 2.4 x 2.4 and will cost about 1200 which is about the same price as a cubby house thats heaps smaller but bacause its classed as a garden shed that dont put the price up so high, its hard cause we are in tasmania and you can never find second hard ones to do up and there isnt many places that do them over here

hmm this bub will get something $20 or under. Just don't see any reason to get her anything more, she will only be 5 months old and i am sure family will get her toys. will have to let them know to not go overboard!

jriley - where did you get the cubby (shed) from? It sounds like the sort of thing we are looking for. We are in Launceston. We also want something we can get into and that will last a few years. We saw a wooden cubby in Kmart but it said for 2 - 5 years and as our daughter will be 5 in November we guessed she would be too tall for it quite quickly. It was quite small as well - I want room for the play kitchen, dolls bed and a little table & chairs! Yes I am being fussy! Love the idea of a little verandah as well...........
