kmart sales 12.01am tonight

I am glad I am not alone, I feel like I am the only one who is not going to this.My son is 11 months old and he doesnt like the shops as it is, but the toys sales are so hectic he would probly feel overwhelmed.

Yeah big W is no deposit - unless you want to get a big bulky item like a swing set..........which is what I want :rolleyes: and don't have the 20% deposit until tomorrow morning.

I thought I'd go to the kmart one at midnight though because I only want 2 things and I have the change in my wallet for the 10% deposit. Am in my pj's now though and thinking about heading to bed. If I'm still awake at 11.45pm I'll probably go.......

the thought of standing outside in the freezing 4 degree temp waiting to shop for kids toys is boggling my mind.

NORTHERN TERRITORY - All stores open at 7am

i finished work at 12am and our big w store opened at 12.01am

There was masses of people lined up outside at 11pm!!

gLad i got what i wanted just as we opened :yelclap: and got let out the staff door to avoid the crowds.

Its crazy i tell ya if i hadnt been working i dont think i would have gone at midnight way to cold out there to have been waiting outside for over half an hour!!

Hope all those who went didnt get shoved around to much and got what u wanted!!

i know our store was pretty well stocked but will be a mess and half empty in the next few hours!!

I just got back - grabbed the 2 things I wanted, had a wander around. Went to layby, waited maybe 5-10mins, wandered a bit more and then came home. Glad I went though cos there was only a few of each thing I wanted.

I think I'm missing something but our store had a raincheck stand so even if the store was out of an item you can still get it at the advertised price. Given this is the case why do people rush to get there at midnight? Have I missed something?

I went at 12.30 ish because I had just finished work, otherwise I wouldn't have made the trip out in the cold.
It wasnt too bad then, the layby line was well established and I just cruised through and got what I wanted.
It was nice shopping with just grown ups (everyone was well behaved!) I don't have anything against kids, but its easier without them!

I went to kmart at midnight and it was MADNESS!!!

I made my brother come with me ( no hope of getting DH there :laughing:) and the crowd outside was unbelievable :eek: I swear there were at least 200 people waiting for the doors to open! And the surge to get in, all you could hear was the crash of trollies! Luckily our kmart is in a shopping centre so it was warm!

I'd done a dry run in the day so we knew exactly where to go and were the first ones at layby :D

Went to BIG W today and the layby line went forever...it snaked in and out all the isles. Glad I didn't really want anything in there. Might still go back!

Didn't realise that it was such a big deal!! I went to Kmart today just to have a look, and there still seemed to be plenty of toys and stuff. Maybe they've run out of the larger items, I wasn't looking at them.

Yep well they definitely do run out of things... I went to the opening of Kmart and got everything I wanted and then went to Big W at about 10am (2 hours after they opened) and yes they had SOLD OUT of most of the smaller items I wanted and no raincheck on them :o

I lined up at big w at 11pm finshed there at 1.30am when to kmart only needed one thing so my sister lend me the money to just buy it. Was home by 2am better then last year got home at 4am. The things we do for sales:rolleyes:
