Just as the title says....Anyone done the cloth nappy thing for twins?

I have an 11mth old DD in cloth and a friend is pregnant with twins . She has asked me to make her enough nappies to do fulltime cloth. How many do you think she will need???? Do I need to basically double the amount that I have (25 to 30ish) or do you think that say 40 odd would get her through?

Do you have any tips for doing cloth with twins???? :D

TIA

I've just stared using MCN for my 18 month old twins but there is a lovely lady OJandMe (Gretal) who I'm sure would be more than willing to give you some really good advice MCN for twins.

She has been a wealth of information for me :hugs:

Hey there..

LOL.. thanks for the intro Angela...

40 nappies for twins is fine. That's washing every night. I washed every night when O and J were in nappies fulltime and we had about 36 nappies.

Pockets are great, as even though they're twins, they will have different 'wee' needs. Especially when sleeping. During the day it's not so bad, you just change when they need it... like you would a sposie... so you might be changing one every 3 hours and one every 2 hours.. Extra boosters are helpful for when you're going out.

My best tips...
Wash every night. After they are in bed, stick the nappies on and HANG THEM at night. Then it's no stress.

Keep the nappies stuffed and ready to go.

Rinse all pooey nappies straight away.

Have dedicated night nappies, about 4 per child. (I recommend Krap Katchers)

LOOK AFTER THE NAPPIES.. read up on all the do's and don'ts!

It honestly isn't any more dramas than having twins in sposies, except you do an extra load of washing at night. Changing one, changing 2, what's the difference?? Cloth is (IMO) MUCH better for twins, as you don't have DOUBLE the poo smells hanging around from grotty sposies in the bin!! My house smelled SOOO much better when I made the switch.

Umm... any more questions??? :D
