Hi Ladies! I was wondering if anyone has had their children Christened in Winter? We want to do it fairly soon but it is getting really cold here. We have boy/girl twins Hayden and Brooklen and they are only now starting to enjoy their baths! I am sure they would warm up the water do you think?
We were thinking long sleve gown for Brooklen & suit for hayden? WDYT :D

Hi!
We were told that the christening water is warmed for the babies at all times of the year.
The outfits sound fine. We just went and bought a little white dress from Myers for Emily and Mum knitted her jumper in case it was really cool, though we never needed it.
Good luck with it. Enjoy the day.

We had DD christened last July. She wore a beautiful christening gown ,made from my mothers wedding dress. Very long and traditional with a chantilly lace overdress. We added a beautiful white shawl as it was a bit chilly in the church.
The water was heated and bub never cried - she was more interested in the Minister.

I am having my bub baptised in Melbourne this weekend and she is wearing a long gown made by my mum but is wearing a thermal jumpsuit underneath it and a warm shawl. The water is warm though, also the church has heaters and after she will be put into a warm jumpsuit.
Have fun
