Hi my son is now 13 months old and besides being a bit clingy when teething thats about as far as it goes. Until !!! Cutting two molars up the top at the moment and seems to be waking in the night screeming for up to two hours. I have tried panadol and bonjella however it seems to take a while to kick in. Has anyone else found that the molars are so much more distressing for them?

Yes for sure. My son is cutting his two year old molars at the moment. He won't eat, constantly just wants bottles and won't sleep in his own bed. Not to mention doesn't want me out of his site. Totally drives me insane. I just go with it. Let him sleep where ever (at least he is sleeping) have bottles (not always milk sometimes juice and sometimes iced water) and chew on ice cubes. Basically we get through it with a bit of nurofen and ice and then we got back to normal after they have stopped hurting.

You have my FULL sympathy!!!!! Ds is 14 months old and is also cutting a molar:thumbsdown: His first eight teeth never bothered him too much, but this is HELL! We too have tried bonjella and panadol, but neither seem to make a huge difference. Many sleepless nights an days over here too - has ended up in our bed at some stage most nights as he just wants to cuddle his mummy. He now has a shocking cold too (I think because hsi system is run down with the teething). It seems to be taking forever too......part of the tooth has cut, but still waiting for it to completely come through - Can't wait!!!!!
Apparently teh eye teeth are the worst, does he have those yet??
sorry, no advice, just sympathy - i find it is always nice to know when you're not teh only one. :hugs: to you and your bubba. Hope it is over for you soon!
