help

my son is six months old and has started trying to crawl. unfortunately, this has led to alot of restless nights as he manges to squiggle and squirm his way around the entire cot. often he wakes up and i find him turned completely around or at the other end, or even sideways. i have tried putting in barriers, pillows, bolsters, his anti rolling wrap, and nothing works. neither of us are getting much sleep. what can i do to prevent the cot creeps??

thankyou

Don't despair, most bubs go through that stage. It will pass soon enough and your bub will roam and find a comfy spot to sleep easier as he gets more mobile.

Andrew sleeps in all sorts of weird positions - as long as he's happy, I couldn't care less how funny it looks! He doesn't have a blanket, he is just dressed appropriate for the weather, so it doesn't matter which way he rolls or turns, he's always warm and comfy :)

I found that my twin daughters were doing alot of that starting at 10 weeks, but once i started putting them into a grobag (sleeping bag) at night they stopped, and have even stopped doing it as much during the day when they don't have it on.

Worth a thought.

Lucy went through this stage also. She was waking up 2-3 times a night with a limb stuck through the rails or she'd bang her head! This stopped once she became more mobile and could get out of awkward positions. I also tried cot bumpers and rolled up blankets but nothing really helped. But don't despair, the stage soon passes.

Before I had Lucy I thought you could tuck your bub in with a top sheet and blanket and that's where they stayed. Now I know better:D
