Just a quick q? MJ feeds from my right side most of the night due to her sleeping on that side so it seems alot bigger & gets fuller. Is it possible to just feed from the left during the day & the right at night or will it complicate things?

hi, Emily only likes my right booby, she has never really used the left one only when Ive forced her too.
My MIL is a maternal nurse and has been one for 20 years, and says to me there is no problem with only using one boob .:)
but the other day an older lady told me that it will make one boob bigger than the other, so i guess i will have to wait & see:confused:

DS only feeds from my left, and it is a lot bigger than the other:o

Our DD has been breastfeeding for 13 months now and has been feeding solely from the right side since she was about 9 months. And yes the right side is alot bigger than the left side - but for me it was more of a convenience thing...im lazy i know but after feeding for so long it gets tiring of thinking..now which side was I up to and plus the bubs seems to have a fave side. Do what you feel is right.

ps. I had no probs with lumps on the left after stopping - which was one of my concerns.

My girl certainly prefers the right side over the left and feeds better from it. I usually use that side at night or when I'm out to make things easier for both of us. My right breast has always been smaller than my left... wonder if this will help even things out for a while? :laughing:

Well i've been doing it for a few days now & appart from the pain & engorgement on the first day :eek: It seems to have settled. MJ soon tells me when shes sick of the right side - she climbs over me & helps herself to the left about 4am :rolleyes:

Its refreshing to know that bubs prefer one side. MJ has always fallen asleep at my left (makes day time naps easier) :D
