Yes, it really is July already. Scary but true.

Pity I didn't realise it until after I had already posted in the June thread!

Thanks Cat! I hate being the first to post because i forget what everyone else has been talking about in the last month.

We have a cheap target potty as well. It's great!

weekend away - there's always been an element of *****iness in our mum's group but it came to a fore over the weekend and i'd had enough and kind of had an innapropriate outburst. (this is ridiculous: They'd whispered behind my back about how they wanted to change who rode in who's car - COME ON!!!) This probably made me appear like the petty, over-reacting idiot (the woman in question is quite manipulative and passive aggressive - gets others to do her dirtywork) but at least it's out there now! And so now I'd say I've lost my friends. We have a lot of group emails going around (for a committee we're on) so last night I've answered them and then this morning she's replied to the email BEFORE mine thus completely ignoring my email!!!!!!! These aren't the kind of people I want anything to do with. So primary school!!!!!!!!!!

haha! there's my goss. Thanks for listening - it was good to get it out there.

:hugs:Cordelia and thanks for sharing, it is pretty pety but sad on your behalf because you had the balls to stick up for yourself- you dont need people like that in your life- it only brings you down.

Aries- 7thy July- wow so close- goodluck girlfriend!!

Tabby Woohoo:smiliedance: on the back maintenance, hope you can manage some more- lol!

Hi to everyone else- completely forgot what else I read.

Going away tomorrow- up to sunny qld- well lets hope it is anyways. Sorta sad about leaving dh- usually look forward to the break from him if I go away without him, but not this time- maybe I know how much I need him around to help with the kids!!, or could be that I will miss him- lol.

Gotta go pack- have been avoiding it.

Cordelia...:hugs: it must have turned out to be a cr@ppy weekend with all the secret squirrels. But if I remember rightly, the outburst has been building for a while. If they can't find it in themselves to grow up, then you're better off without them. I'm sure there will be another (much nicer) mothers group around for you to join.
HINT, HINT: we Perthies would like another catch up soon!
Liviesmum...thanks for the sleep:babydust2:. Unfortunately another bad night with TJ. And with her needles this morning, tonight is probably going to be fun too. Enjoy your break in the sun.
Tabby...:smiliedance:for the back-pay. Hopefully the rest comes soon.
Aries... can't believe you are so close. LOL at X getting out of the pool to wee. Me thinks it's was a fluke. I wouldn't even think about TT X with a new bub around. Leave it for a while until all the chaos has dies down and when you think X is getting the idea.

TJ had her second flu and CP vacc's this morning. Aside from a little cry she was fine. No calls from daycare yet, so am assuming she's doing ok.

hi guys...

Not much happening here.

I hope all mums who are missing out on some sleep are able to catch up soon... I shouldn't say then that Alex has aon average 13 hrs a night- he loves his sleep.. but I am so naughty when he only sleeps 11-12 I feel like I have been robbed of sleep :laughing:

Can't believe Aries and Kewlchic are so close. How exciting.. wish I could fast forward time...

Alex is beautiful and having lots of fun with his babies (teddies) that he has to carry everywhere with him. I am trying to find a gender neutral doll stroller but they are all VERY girly.

I won't think we will be toilet training soon either MIM. Not in winter. I think I'll wait til after new bubs born and the dust settles a bit. When its hot here in summer he can run around the yard in training pants and it won't be such an issue.

Sammy- alex loves "in the night garden" but nowhere near the love he has for wiggles. He quite likes New MacDonald's farm too, as he is obsessed with farm animals atm..

I am seeing foetal medicine specialist on Thursday so here's hoping they have good news for us :fingerscrossed:.

Hope all have good nights :flowerz:

Hint taken mouse :P hehe.. i'll talk to DH. can't do this weekend... what about weekend after? sunday afternoon after sleeps? or.... up for suggestions.

Thanks for your support about my weekend! you're right - it was coming for a while - I should have quit at the start of the year. Am going to slowly back off everything from now until the end of the year. I have some really nice mum friends from church that I haven't really gotten to know so i think i'll start joining their groups. And of course you wonderful ladies!!!

wild at heart - good luck with the specialist.

liviesmum - have an awesome break away.

Caitlin was so cute yesterday. At PG a mum was locking up the shed (where all of her fav toys are - the cars!) and Caitlin was NOT liking it!! So she came back inside, pushed a chair over to get my car keys out of my bag (on a table) and then went outside and tried to put my car key in the padlock to unlock the shed. :O I was watching her completely baffled as to how she could work this out!!!! It is RIDICULOUS the amount of stuff they pick up!!! I'm wondering if I can get her to do my tax return...

Mouse- bummer about the nights, I do hope they get better for you soon

Cordelia- good idea about backing off- you dont need that stress while pg- but it is disappointing all the same.

So will say cheerio for 8 days:wave: Have a good week- will have a nice break myself am sure.

LOL at the keys. It's amazing how fast their minds work.

I don't mind Saturday or Sundays. DH is home the next weekend (12&13), and after the moods he's been in I'd rather a weekend when he was away.

Wild...good luck for the doc visit on Thursday.

TJ hasn't (touch wood) had any reations to her needles so far. :fingerscrossed: I get some sleep tonight.

Cat OMG were is the year going to gee bub's will be here before I know it if I don't watch out.

Cordelia Gee are you sure your not in my once mother's group sounds like them!!! Oh that's a shame I loved my Mother's group until all the *****iness started showing it's ugly head then I thought it was time to not go any more which was sad cause I didn't know any one who had a bub's around the same age all ppl I knew with kids were older. But very lucky for me a couple of other mum's felt the same way about the group and had enough and I have a couple of really really great friends and we catch up all the time. Thank god for them.

Aries Wow wow wow I thought mine was close best of luck darls you will have to tell us all about it. Mine is C-Section is on the 21st and I am counting down the days.:smiliedance:

Livesmum Hope you have a lovely weekend away with the kids and the weather is just :sunshine: for you. It's nice to have a break from DH but also nice that you miss them.

Mousebrown Oh so it's not to late to have the flu shot well I will be booking Lachlan into have it done with his vac we were not going to in the end but now that he has been sick since last Thursday with the cold I am changing my mind don't want him to get sick again and bub's get it too I will be :hair: if I go down with it too having to look after 2 bubs and DH is at work that would be my luck.

Wildatheart Ya we too are not going to bother with the whole potty thing until the weather warms up and bub is settled and so is Lachlan for that matter I just think to much going on will not be good for Lachlan. Yours has gone fast only 17 weeks it felt like mine was and this month is dragging on and on. Good luck with the speciallst darls.

Us Well were do I start Lachlan is getting better he is eating more and not so snotty but now he has really bad nappy rash on his bits which looks really ouch to me. Poor lill thing DH comes home on Tuesday woho :smiliedance: for 7 weeks I can not wait and we are booked in for C-Section on the 21st have to be at the hospital by 6.30am we are the first which is really exciting and I am also sh*ting myself now.

Hey Mouse, if it's any consolation I'm still getting up to Cameron a couple of time most nights and then 5.30m wake-ups. Naughty me makes sure I'm only up 10mins max though because I just feed him right back to sleep. Should really be working on that but it's far too easy an option for me :o

On the TT front, not really starting here but have just put the pot in the bathroom for him to get familiar with, letting him watch us use the toilet and letting him run around nappy free in the backyard every afternoon. Winter not really a big issue up here in the tropics! He's not quite ready yet though - he's completely oblivious to the fact that he's doing a wee unless it lands on his foot . He is pretty good at letting me know about #2's though.

Cordelia, makes me glad I never joined a mother's group! Have done just fine with a few local bubhubbers I've met along the way. Jealous of all you perthies though. There was Flicka who lived near me and we met a couple of times but haven't seen her on here or IRL for AGES. Are you still out there Flicka?

Kewlchic, make the most if the few weeks left before bub is due to arrive!

LOL State of Origin footy must not be going well for the Blues. Can hear DH cursing in the background! Either that or he's out of beer

I have a head cold :(
and of course so does Katie so she woke at 430am until 630am then back till 830am!
I was knackered at work with tired AND a cold..
whinge over,sorry lol

Not long now for yous aries and kewlchic! rather exciting!

Kewlchic: We get some horrid poo burns when teething so I went to the chemist to ask best and actually got the lady whos little one who was 12 months was exactly the same and she swore by this and it is really good! daktozin is what its called, over the counter. Heals Katie up really quick, I lather it on as soon as see it redden and we havnt had a really bad dose since. Some times it was that burnt she sobbed for ages till it lessened, Now we dont get that far!

Today when Mum and dad arrived to sit with her we sat at the table for coffee and katie proceeded to imitate my Dad with his hand gestures, hands in front on table, hands behind head to stretch and then hands to either side of face to rest on them LOL we didnt say a word we just sat and watched her change movements with my dad.
reminded me of that ad where the grandson copies the grandad with facial expressions

Shes obsessed with my belt at the moment..Shes had it on all day the last two days

going to go bed, am pooped!
back tomorrow to catch up more if get off work earlier than today

wildatheart we have a HABA dollwagon which is not girly, it is wooden and painted red and blue.. Lots of boys over here have 'wagons' for their toys (babies/teddies)

Cordelia the keys thing was so cute.I am also amazed at the complexity of thought at this age.

Tabby hope you and Katie ae feeling a bit better.

us feel a bit blah today. DH and I have had ongoing problems for a long time. We don't argue, it's hard to explain, but well if it wasnt for Clea we would have separated a long time ago. Actually we were separated before we got pregnant. we get on well, we are good friends, but for years now we haven't really... well I guess we just don't love each other like a husband and wife. This is not a new thing. We have decided we will live together for Clea. After all, we actually live well together. Just need to work out the details really. Hopefully we can do it well so all three of us are happy.

Cat...I think I'm a bit the same. It's just easier to offer her a drink than trying CC throughout the night. I can CC when she goes to bed and if she wakes at 5-5.30. But forget it in the inbetween hours.
Tabby...:hugs: hope the colds clear up soon
Kewlchic...You'll be fine on the day. Just try and get some sleep the night before. I found it a bit of an anti-climax when we went in for my CS for TJ.

A better night with TJ. Had a bad period between 1.30-2, but that was it.

Josh is sick. Just a bit grumpy with a slight temperature and an infrequent cough. Dh is away until tomorrow night and josh is missing him, keeps saying 'dad-dad'. We talked briefly on skype tonight which was good. Further work around the house in preparation for renovations today. Hopefully getting the final quote tonight for work that's due to start next week! I've actually survived this week without dh better than I thought i would, but I'm still very much looking forward to his return.

sorry no more personals.

Cordelia: We have just returned from the toy sale with a trolley load! So much for not much interest from me. Even got some xmas goodies, toy micro wave and toaster and kettle.
Also got a porta cot and capsule for her baby.
She loves them both! Baby got swapped from one to another over and over until the teddies had a turn and all got stacked into the porta cot lol
Any weekend suits me, ill work around whatever the majority wants. I do know we have been asked to inlaws about then but ill try make it there the opposite day of our meet. :fingerscrossed:

DFB: BIG :hugs:. Hope you can "mend" things with you and dh

Mim: hugs for Josh! poor love, hope hes feeling better soon xx

kewlchic: Glad the little man is feeling much better!

Mouse: Good to hear a better night..hope theres more for you.

Well as said, had a great night shopping, was getting a wii for us big kids but they are short stocked everywhere so no go yet. So Katie got lots of toys and we got none! lol
Am getting over the cold and Katie is totally over it thankfully but this cold sure does play havoc with my back. Bring back the warm weather!!!

HI all..

I am envious of you Tabby with teh shopping- sounds like such fun!

:smiliedance: Aries

:hugs: Dragonflyblu

I hope everyone is feeling well and all bubs have been sleeping well.

Think that Alex may have gotten his cough back again, but will just wait and see.. He has been feeling well so I think I will just keep an eye on him.

I had my appt at foetal medicine unit for unborn bubs yesterday.. dr said that the left lung hasn't grown any bigger (that's problem it is growing too fast and pushing the heart across to the right side of chest), but he can't tell what will happen in the next little while. There is no heart failure or fluid around the heart and in all other ares bubs is doing well..

So.. I don't have to go back for another scan for 6 weeks YAY (I will be 28 weeks then). He said I will know for sure whether I will be leaving hospital with a baby (ie whether bubs will make it) when I have my scan at 32 weeks.. so only 10 more weeks of uncertainty.. I am just focussing on getting through the next 6 weeks.

But I feel kinda good, I feel heaps more positive about it but at the same time too scared to get my hopes up. Still not wanting to get hopes up or buy anything in case bubs heart fails between now and 28 weeks. dh and I are feeling so much more hopeful..

But.. we will probably have to have bubs in another hospital as it is likely that bubs will need surgery soon after birth (I assume will need intensive care etc) to fix lungs.. aargh.. so much to think about but at least we are thinking bubs may make it this time :fingerscrossed::babydust2:

We went to BIG W sale and bought Alex a wiggles ride on bike/ car thingy and more things which we say we are "keeping for Christmas" but we shall see what happens.. we might relent and get them out beforehand .

He was happy we had dr appt yesterday as he got to see his cousins who carried him around all day- consequently he got no sleep. As soon as he makes any kind of sound at mil place she gives him something as she is so scared of him crying.. especially if in his cot- she checks on him every 5 mins.. no wonder he never sleeps there!! Now he knows she is a sucker and when he really wants something while visiting her he drops his bottom lip.. We have tried to tell her!!

Cordelia...Weekend 19/20 is good for me. I don't mind which day, can fit with what suits others.
Mim...hope J feels better soon
Tabby...LOL at the toy sales. I went into Bigw today and didn't buy one toy. It gets like that with the second and you've already got everything. K will love the cooking toys. TJ loves playing in our cubby with them all.

Another ok night last night. TJ woke once. Have tried a different strategy. I had been giving her little amounts of milk, trying to wean her off it. Am now giving her a decent drink when she wakes. :fingerscrossed: we have a good one tonight.

Take care,
Lisa

DH just put his hand almost through the window!!
yes its broken but only shattered a bit luckily didnt go through it! The security scrren stopped his hand going through I think. I just heard the crack!

Aries ... wow, congrats! :smiliedance:

wild ... that's great news that nothing is worse. Let's hope it continues to be good news. I'm praying for you and your family at this time.

tabby ... glad your ds is ok. Mum tripped on something of josh's yesterday ... it's amazing how much stuff is on the floor to trip over!

mouse ... hope you had a good night with tj

us ... well I finally gave approval for the renovations quote, so we start this wednesday  that means I've got lots of timber to paint today and tomorrow. I'm very thankful the builder was able to get it delivered yesterday, despite the short notice. it's going to be fine all weekend, so good for painting.

The even better news is that my holidays have had to be shifted ... forward! So instead of going on holidays in 2 weeks, I'm on holidays in 1 week! :smiliedance: I only have 1 week off, but it will work well. I was driving to work yesterday and thinking that I was SO desperate for a holiday after working 6 months full time ... little did I know God had already worked it out that I would have to take next week instead.

Hi everyone

Aries - So exciting... good luck with everything & congrats. Cant wait to hear the news.
Wild - :hugs:

Us - Survived the toys sales lol. Had fun though. Was going to buy it instead of laybying but thought whats the point when the kids b'days arent for another 6 months & i know they would hunt it all out of the hiding spots & then i would have to buy them more stuff
Not much else happening here really. Sierra is sleeping great & its nice to have a break from school & kinder run around, another week left so that will be nice. Trying to put Sierra into a big bed this weekend, if we get the time to set it all up. Got the bed but havent bought the linen for it yet. But might just put the bed in her room to get her used to it in there & want to buy a bed rail sometime too so she isnt scared of falling out. She's sleeping so well in her cot though i am scared that moving her to a big bed will ruin it. But it has to be done eventually so :fingerscrossed: Decided too that i will start TT when she turns 18mths...so not long. Just because of all the problems i had & still have with DD2. I waited til she was 3 & its just been alot worse than DD1 when she was 2, so i reckon the younger you start the easier it is. Will get the move into a big bed done first though.
Better go... the girls just go up & are bugging me for their breakfast. Have a great weekend

DFB...yah for C saying her name.

Us...another better night. TJ woke at 10.30 then 4. Had DD1 slide into bed with me at 12.30 though.
Spend a nice couple of hours in the garden this afternoon. Only ahd to stop for rain once. I've got a enw garden bed to work out, so it's very exciting. Can't do much until DH has put in a soak well though.

Hi ,

Well done to all who survived the Toy Sales - must say I thought the layout was horendous as I didn't find the item I was looking for until DH sent me off to find WD-40 in the auto section!

Mouse, very cute with the oh-oh.

Tabby, sounds like you are in domesticated bliss!

Aries, congrats, can't wait to see pics.

kewl, not long now, how lovely to have DH back!

Tiredmummy, love the bed, linen & outfit!

Cordelia, 12weeks already!

Mim, that break sounds good!

Us, had the 19week ultrasound on Fri, my goodness it took a long time! Anyway, all is great, so cute to count fingers and toes. Only concern on my part is baby is already measuring 1-2 weeks bigger than my dates (my dates are 100% and I had a dating scan at 8weeks plus Nuchal scan at 12weeks)

We're home!!

little Rohan Joseph arrived fri. 4th July at 11:11 am!! weighed 8lbs 2oz, not bad for 38 weeks!

Everything went really well with the c/s...MUCH better than an emerg. situation. Only had to stay 2 days, so we're just settling in. Xavier seems ok so far, but I don't think he knows the baby is staying here, lol.

Hmm, so far he's really good, not much crying. Am so tired, so will fill you all in more later. Here's a few pics. Hope everyone's doing great!

Hope Rohan's settling in well for you Aries :) and Xavier is not being too hard on you!

I've just finished putting Caitlin's bedroom suite together - click here for photos! (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=44154&l=47546&id=819459250)

We probably wont' try put her in til September/Oct but there's still a few things I want to do to the room.

Caitlin has gone from 4 teeth to 12 teeth in 2 weeks! :O with more on the way. ouch! she has just stopped eating - it's such an effort to get her to swallow anything. She'll carry the same bit of food around for 10 minutes and then hide it or give it to the dog. It's starting to worry me - I know it must be the teeth but worries me all the same. All she wants is her bottle all the time.

Anyway, better clean the house....:(

Hey Cordelia, don't worry too much about Caitlin's eating. I'm sure it is the teeth. Since his last lot came through Cameron is eating so much better. At meal times when he sees me serving up he actually even goes and bangs on his high chair to be lifted up.

While he was teething badly though I found the only thing he was guaranteed to eat was my pumpkin & vege soup. To add a bit of substance I mixed through portions of frozen bolognese puree. Sounds odd but actually very yummy, filling and easy on the gums! Also just gave him heaps of yoghurt, chilled fruit slices to suck on and anything that could be swallowed without chewing.

Hope Caitlin feels better soon.

Cordelia...yah for all C's teeth coming at once. Although it probably doesn't seem like it, getting them all over and done with quickly is good. Can't comment on the photo's - no facebook access at work.
Cat...TJ's a bit the same when she's hungry.
Aries...hope R is doing well for you.

We've recently added dunking eggs (soft boiled eggs with toast soldiers) to her menu. Served them up to DD1 the other week and TJ wanted them too. (All previous attempts at giving her egg resulted in it being spat at me). I do most of the dunking, but she gets the odd one in, LOL.

Had an ok night with TJ last night (10 & 4.30). but not having much fun with DD1 at the moment. Since having a bad dream a couple of weeks ago, she doesn't stay in her bed if she wakes in the night, and won't go back there.

Take care,
Lisa

:flowerz:welcome Rohan:flowerz: he is really beautiful.

mousebrown we just added soft eggs to the menu as well. I figured she is old enough, we had eaten it twice. once she loved it and then she hated it... ahhhh.. this fickle stage....

cordelia we got a few molars at once - although not that many!!! - i gave clea watermelon, yoghurt drink, frozen berries, grapes, she really just had lots of drinks, including lots of breastfeeds:sleeping: the bedroom looks really lovely, i love the bedspread.

we enetered a competition. it was a spur of the moment thing, i am not into modelling for Clea but at the same time i know her grandma (s) would love to see her on a magazine cover, they have been hassling me for ages to enter her into some photo comps...

new word for the week.... dolly! sounds so funny.

Cordelia: pics are just lovely! well done on the bed, it looks great!
Is that the zoo merry go round? We were so sad to see it was out of order for our visit a few weeks back.
Katie goes right off her food when teething, mostly she says "no!" but what does get in is usually just spat right out ( if not vomited ((teething related too ) she lives on yogurt and bananas and sliced cheese until its all good again, also constantly walking with a bottle in hand, probably soothing on the gums..try not to worry, she will come back to food soon enough with gusto once the sore gums are better xx

DFB: all the best for the comp!
Have been wanting to get Katie into something for ages, I figure with her head of hair she has it should make for some attention there, but there is nothing around here!

Mouse: Hope dd1 gets over the nightmare and back to her bed.

Us: I have the dreaded flu AGAIN!!!! Same one refreshed or another but boy is it a bad one.
My work mate is still on hols so I had no choice but to soldier on and flu tablet it to work today :(

Good news? My new suites arrive friday! cant wait! Bed suite for us, bed suite for ds2 and dining suite

Now to get better so can put it all where should be over the weekend

Thanks all for your congrats!

Yep it's definitely busier with 2 so far, but we're enjoying it. Rohan is a MUCH more settled baby so far, also I think second time round things are just easier, more confidence etc; Xavier is still a bit unsure and is acting a lot more "needy", but I feel for him. have had a few little cries about not being able to pick up Xavier, but I think he still loves me,lol.

MOUSE- man oh man I wish you would just get a break already with your nights!! Must kinda feel like permanent newborn-ness hey! At least they're both such cuties....saw your recent pics on FB.

CORDELIA- love the bedroom suite, makes them seem so grown up. X still in a cot and prob will for some time.

Aries...great to hear all is going well with R and big brother X.

A better night here. DD1 slept through. Bought her a touch lamp yesterday, so don't know if that helped or not:confused::p.
TJ woke once. Teeth are giving us grief again, but nurofen seems to be helping. As for her not sleeping through, I'm used to it now. DD1 was a night waker too. She slept through for a while, then started waking during the night at 18 months. Only slept through after TJ had arrived (3.5YO). So if TJ follows her lead, I've only got another 2 years before I get to sleep through the night again:laughing:.
DH flew home yesterday, so don't know if I'll be around on the weekend. If I get 'puta time or not will depend on DH's mood.

Hugs to everyone,
Lisa

I agree mouse, I don't know how you do it. At least I only have the one to tend to in the night. But we have had a couple of better nights. Night before last slept right through 8pm-6.30am ( I didn't know myslef the next day!) and last night just one wake at 4.30. By now I know not to get my hopes though!

Am going to be playing single mummy on and off the next few months. DH left today on his 2 week 4WD trip with the boys then back for 3 days before going overseas for work (army) for 3 weeks then back 5 days before going down south for a promotion course for 3 weeks. Going to fill in some of the time by travelling with Cameron down to Melbourne for 10 days next month.

And we got our posting for next year, going to be staying in Townsville another 2 years which is what we wanted since we bought a house here. But DH will be at a different unit that sends the guys on alot of exercises throughout the year and is doing a tour of Afghanistan for 8months starting Sep '09. So really will feel like a single parent then and not sure what to do about TTC #2 plans. Ah well, if it's meant to happen it will happen I guess.

cat13 8 months.... you poor thing. I would spend lots of time visiting relatives.

nightwaking.... clea is also a pretty bad sleeper. I guess I am used to it and forgot that some toddlers sleep all night. She goes to bed at about 9pm and wakes the first time at either 4.30am or 5.30am, has a feed and goes back to a sleep, sort-of, next to me for an hour. Then its up to play! i would love to sleep more than 6 hours... but I cant believe I used to function on 3-5 hours every night for at least 6 months!

that's great about the walking Sammy...

having said that - we went to a birthday party yesterday and my arm is so sore after having to pick alex up to stop him from getting into things- I cleraly don't pick him up much at home now.. so I have what feels like a pulled bicep muscle.. and alex isn't even that huge anymore so I hope I don't have a reapaet of that!

I am tired today after having trouble sleeping over the last few nights. Alex keeps sleeping but I am lying there feeling bubs kick me and debating when I should go to the toilet and whether that will help me go back to sleep:laughing: DH having to go to work at 5.30am didn't help me have a good nights sleep either

Cat- Well done on the post- but army life is hard. My Brother was in the army and he was overseas when his daughter was born- he was unable to be there, but that made way for me as I was able to be there for him. Sad for him though as him and his partner only have one together as she has one from previous relationship and they are not having anymore (his daughter is 7) so he has not been able to experience the birth of a child.

:yelclap: yay for Michael's walking Sammy. Next will be the running!

wild, hope you get some better sleeps.

mouse, keep forgetting to say thanks for the tip on Craisins. I'm addicted. Cameron wasn't sure at first but now he loves them too.

Army life can be tough Liviesmum but does have some perks like when he isn't overseas he's home by 4.30pm so we can all have dinner together and lots of quality time. And I can't complain, I knew what I was getting myself into. Just means now I have 3 options - 1) TTC soon (if AF ever returns!) and have DH there for the birth and early months but miss most of the rest of the first year, 2) TTC a few months before he goes overseas so he misses most of the pregnancy and maybe the birth but is back for bubs early months or 3) wait to TTC until he gets back from overseas - but that would mean a 4 year age gap. At the end of the day though really can't let the overseas stint factor too much in the decision - just as likely plans will change or DH will do something silly and need another ankle reconstruction which would pretty much get him medically discharged. So I think the plan will still be TTC sooner rather than later.

Cameron is booked to have his immunisation on Wednesday so hopefully no chickenpox exposure before then. Has been going around here and so has measles - the first 2 cases up here in 10 years.

Cat...LOL at the craisins. TJ is always in the cupboard looking for them. With the schedula you outlines, I'd say TTC #2 sooner rather than later makes more sense too. There was 3.5 years between DD1 & TJ, and personally think it was enough. Any more and I wouldn't have gone back down that track.
Sammy...:smiliedance:for M walking. He'll be runnig before you know it. Cake looks great! DD1 got hold of the cake book recently and has picked the carousel for her birthday this year:eek:. have just been down to our local cake dec shop and stocked up. It'll be 3 cakes for her this year, kindy, daycare and bday party:confused:.

I'm back, had IT come and try and sort a problem on my 'puta.

A couple of cute moments from the weekend:
* I was gardening and showing some builders crack. As DH walked past (with TJ in his arms) he proceeded to poke at it with his finger. He wandered off and TJ comes back, attempts to pull my pants down so she can poke at it too, LOL.
*At bedtime last night we couldn't find dad, so I asked TJ where he was. She raised her arms (Palms up) and said 'donno'.

Have a great day,

Hi guys, how are you all? B is actually sleeping right now- was a fight to get her there but she eventually went down.

While we were away B slept either in the porta cot or with me- it depended on the night and where Phoebe was as I only had the one cot, although she did sleep in it everyday for her day sleep. I am not strong enough- she gets upset and it really melts my heart- I want to hug her!

Tabby- nice looking furniture, you lucky duck- I love getting new furniture. Katies hair is so thick- she is very very cute.

Mouse- lmao about TJ, these moments are just so priceless. I have thought about keeping a journal of them as they are easy to forget
When we were away DD1 and my niece went for a walk to the shop at the caravan park we were staying at to get some coins for the washing machine. I told them not to talk to strangers or accept anything from a stranger like lollies- to which my niece added "cause they might have poison in them" and then DD1 added "and you should not take drinks either as they might have diabetes in them"- lol so funny!

Mim- hope you enjoy your holiday/ time off.

Better get movin and get some dinner for the family. Will talk later:wave:

Hi everyone,

Having some fairly major computer problems (turns off after 20 seconds!!) so haven't been on much but DH bought his laptop home so hopefully be aroudn a bit more.

Perth meet - no one's said anything! I'm not the best organiser am I!!! mouse - what about the 2 weekends after the meet? Sorry - I cant remember what your DH's roster is.

Ob appointment - saw little baby on a scan today and heard the heartbeat! i'm 14 weeks now which is cool. I'm just so excited. DH and I have an inkling that it's a boy - it just looked boyish on the screen! we won't find out tho. And I love my obstetrician - he's just so nice. Is being such a nice change to the treatment I got goign public last time. (i know most ppl have good experiences - but i didnt!)

arachel - hoep Ella is feeling better!

mim - I hope you're enjoying your holiday - you certainly deserve it with all the hard work you do.

mouse - 3 cakes!!!!! Are they all going to be different? :P What's your theme? I want to go to one of those cake decorating classes in vic park but I keep forgetting to book in.

tabby - gorgeous photos. love the new furniture.

liviesmum - hoep you're getting some nicer sleep.

Just came back from a friend's house whose daughter (18 months) kept hitting and pushign Caitlin over!! Felt awful - her mum kept giving her timeout and such. I know that it won't be long before Caitlin's giving as good as she gets but I just hated to see someone hit her with such aggression!!!

Awww how wonderful seeing the baby for you today and hearing the hb.
Glad the OB is awesome too! Will make all the difference.

liviesmum: Hows the sleeps now? hope they're better.

Off a bit earlier today now the co-worker has returned from hols, which is good, have worked long and hard for 2 weeks and miss my little lady too much!!!
Wouldn't go down for nap for Daddy today so when I got home I plugged in the cd player and put on a story that her Aunty got her a few weeks back..quiet then sleep..worked a treat hehe.

I'm free any weekend after this (19th). DH's mood is better so if he's home it won't matter.
3 cakes - DD1's been through the WW birthday book and chosen the Carousel. So I've got to balance one cake ontop of the other. Have bought some tiny Little Ponies as I can't find horse shapes anywhere. Daycare and Kindy cakes will be shaped (shaped tins make it easy)I'm pushing for a butterfly and Beetle (same as TJ's firts B'day, just different icing pattern), so it will just be a matter of piping the icing in the appropriate spots.
C will wisen up soon to pushing and shoving. TJ responds by pulling hair or biting.
:smiliedance:Yah for the scan. So does this mean you're waiting 'til D day for gender?

Remind me next time we are meeting to give you some copies of ABC CD's we've got. There are some fantastic stories on them. Have also got Justine's 'I Like To Sing' if anyone wants a copy.
Liviesmum... good to hear B settled for a better sleep. Hope it continued.

Nothing unusual happening in our house, so better, some worse nights.

Yep, it certainly is quiet in here!

And I've not really got much to add. Cameron had his chicken pox vacc on Wednesday and I also got the GP to give me referral to an audiologist to follow up on tests he had at 2 weeks that showed mild hearing loss in his right ear - I'm not overly concerned as he seems to hear a pin drop (unless of course I'm calling him to do something he doesn't want to do ) but best to know if there actually is a problem especially now that he's started talking.

And Cameron is finally back on the growth chart rather than below it...still a lightweight 9.7kg fully dressed but at least he's catching up :yelclap:

It is very quiet in here.

My week of holidays is nearly over :crying: It has gone too fast. I was so relaxed after last weekend away, but since I got back it's been hectic. Renovations are in full swing and what was a simple addition of a wall & door has become much more! Now, we're going to remove the carpet from my husbands office, paint the whole room (and the new store room) and lay carpet tiles in the room. It's actually quite a big room and my husband has been working on emptying it for days now! I'll be glad when renovations are over!

On a bright note I did get some sewing and scrapbooking done yesterday which was fantastic. I've been wanting to do some for ages, but I've been too busy.

Josh is so cute! We were at Bunnings the other day and looking at shelving systems when Josh started saying 'ball-ball-ball-ball!'. We couldn't work out why he was saying ball when clearly there were no balls ... but there were! On the front of a box for a metal shelf there were some balls. So, he kept saying ball, and pulled the box off the shelf (it was on the lowest shelf) and tried to pick it up to take it with us. So adorable!

I hope everyone's bubs are well and sleeping well too!

Better go ... we're off to buy vanities and toilets and all sorts of things today!

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on for a while. I escaped up to Mum's from Sunday till Wed and had a lovely relaxing break. The boys love their 'Meema' - DS1's special pet name for Grandma. We took the boys on their 1st Train Ride and a quick trip to The Entrance to watch the Pelicans being fed!

Unfortunately came home with M out of sorts and sure enough he's been sick for the rest of the week - viral infection apparently with high temps of 40 and swollen glands. He's improving slowly but really isn't himself! Poor little thing.

Liviesmum, had the scan and didn't find out, nearly 22weeks now - can you tell I'm really, really counting??? Everything going well otherwise. Hope your'e having fun in Newcastle - if you are there around Xmas we should arrange to meet up, my Mum is 50mins south of there and we stay at her place quite often.

Mim, so cute about the Bunnings trip!

Mouse, looks like I'll be doing 3 cakes too - all Wiggles theme for DS1, just cupcakes for kindy but he wants Captain Feathersword (body & all) for the party he is convinced he's having.

Cat, great that C is catching up on the Growth charts.

Tabby, love all the photos of Katie! Glad work will calm down again for you and did I mention how jealous I am of all your furniture shopping sprees? I am soooo over our stuff but have to concentrate on DS1's new room before I can work on anything else.

Been househunting for a new rental today and have fallen in love with a townhouse. Have put in an application but there was plenty of interest with over 30 groups through this arvo. Now have an agonising wait till Tues afternoon before we hear anything. DH loved it too!

just a quickie - anyone notice a fever after the chicken pox vacc? Cameron had his 4 days ago and just wondering if there could be a connection. Hovering around 39 and wanting lots of cuddles. I'd blame teeth but seems a bit high for that.

Good luck on the house Sammy! And hope Michael's fever gets better soon too.

Sammy: best of luck for getting the townhouse!!
Poor M, hope hes feeling better soon xx

Mim: The reno's sound great, will all be worth it after though am sure.
hehe, Yes the picking up of things we miss, when once pointed out becomes so obvious to us by our little ones. Shows how much we miss little things like that.

Like Katie the other day growling at me for the remote when it wasnt the remote it was the monkeys hat which she helped me understand by giving me the monkey then pointing again over there.

Cat: Belated hugs for Cams jabs the other day.

liviesmum: Hope you had fun weekend away.

Us: Been very busy! Yesterday we dropped Katie off to Mums for the night for a much needed night out for me and dh, hit the casino for dinner, drinks and a little fun gambling. Picked Katie up at 11 today, wow missed her but WOW was greater to have that time to myself yesterday arvo to just sit and do nothing but play wii with the guys and then relaxing hot shower and get ready all without anything latched to my leg LOL.
Have left the porta cot at Mums with plans to do that at least once a month...if not out for the night, then at least for the whole day so I can clean house and then relax and pickup after dinner.

Ooooo monthly outing Tabby! Sounds like you had a great time. I'm going to start losing my babysitter's with parents buying a caravan and sister going country at the end of the year!! I guess with a new bub I wont be going much anywhere anyway. Very jealous.

meet - might even drag DH along and he can oversee the play while I drink my Saturday dose of caffiene (the only day I'm drinking coffee!)

My Dad (bless him) has built a fire guard for the fire as it's been so cold but we've been a bit worried about Caitlin and the fire. anyway, it is SO BIG that it's taken over the whole lounge room. he's installing it right now. (as in screwing it into the wall!)

sammy - let us know how you go with the property! how exciting

cat - hope cameron's feeling better. We haven't done that yet (naughty) but I did think it wasn't supposed to have many side effects) well.. as in no baby I know has had any so I dont know.

Cordelia: We will be there for sure! I was also thinking of dragging dh so he could do the playing watch but alas hes working this Saturday :(
never mind..next time.

Am feeling rather blah today, sure hope I didnt pick up any nasties at the Casino last night :(

Happy sleeps to all.

quick post ... i'm back at work tomorrow :gloomy: and Josh is really sick with tonsillitis. He seemed fine this morning, then suddenly just before 10am he started screaming and wouldn't stop for 20 minutes. Then in creche at church (I was there with him thankfully) he started shivering badly, so we left and went straight to the local emergency department. He had a temperature of 39 and a really nasty throat infection! So, we're filling him up with panadol, nurofen and antibiotics and he's a tiny bit better tonight but still far from his usual bubbly self. Thankfully dh usually looks after him on Mondays & Tuesdays - they'll be having very quiet days (in amongst the renovations of course!).

Hugs to the boys with their temps! M is finally improving, todays temp only got to 37.2 and he's been much more himself - not the lethargic little man I've been cuddling since Wed night. Was getting a bit worried so today feels like a miracle!

Tabby, hope you're feeling better too!

Me, this baby makes me lose my appetite - I feel constantly full! Feels yuck!

I am back, had a nice time away. Dh and I even went to a few open houses on saturday as we are thinking of a seachange and like the newcastle/central coast area. Thinking of putting in a transfer with the dept but could be waiting years for a position.

Sammy- will be in Newy for Xmas or around that time anyways so a meet would be fantastic- and you will have that new little bubba by then too. Glad to hear all is well, and that full feeling is a good thing- you will be happy you felt full by the time it is all over. i was the same with the last pg and ended up 3 kg lighter from when I fell pg!!

Cat and Mim and Sammy- hope your boys are feeling better soon xoxoxox.

Tabby- hope you feel better after your night of sin- lol:laughing: sounds like fun though.

Cordelia- dont you just love DIY dads? mine is as useless as tits on a bull!!

Kewlchic- is there a baby? you have been rather quiet lately.

All is good here- just getting sick to death of Bridgets screaming. She screams at everyone if they are annoying her, have something she wants, in her way, look at her funny.... or just look at her, because she is not being looked at etc. It is driving me nuts:hair:. What do I do? Open to suggestions!

:hugs: to the boys who are not well at the moment. Seems we've got a full mix of nasties.

Cat...TJ had no reaction to the CP vacc. At 9.7kg C must be a lot easier to lug around than TJ. I put her on the scales the other night - 13kg. She's got tho=ighs like her mum:D.
Mim...LOL, Reno's never turn out as simple as planned. Trust me, we've been going for 3.5 years now.
Sammy...Yah for the scan. Weren't you justs alittle tempted to 'look' during the scan. OR did they stay right away from that area? Good luck with the THouse.
Tabby...I'm soooo envious of your Time-Out. I've still not had a night without TJ. And now that M&D have moved to Donnybrook it'll be a long time before I do.
Cordelia... Our fire guard is our playpen. It's never officially been used as a playpen, always used to keep kdis out instead.
Liviesmum...Gotta watch the mozzies in the central coast. They breed them big in that area.

Us...we survived the Fairies yesterday. The kids had a ball. Was a bit disappointed that Elf wasn't the real deal. The real one was off dancing and his replacement just didn't have the zing he does. Kids didn't pick up on the switch as we were upstairs in the theatre.
Have had a couple ogf nights recently where TJ has only woken once. Of course DD1 gets up that night. But :fingerscrossed: TJ starts making a habit of it soon. It's one step closer to a full nights sleep.

Perthies...looking forward to seeing you on Sat.

Big sleeps,

Josh is a bit better thankfully, but still far from well. My poor dh had to endure the whole day with a grumpy baby who only slept for a total of 45 minutes. It took me ages to get Josh to sleep tonight, I think he's just massively overtired.

HI everyone

Mim - Hope Josh is feeling better today.
Sammy - Any news about the townhouse? :fingerscrossed: Hope Michael is feeling better too.
Liviesmum - Glad you had a nice time away. I would love to get away for a few days but too busy at the moment.

Us - Been really busy with the usual. Took Sierra to have her chicken pox vaccination last night & she seems to be fine. Ally also had her flu vax cos dont want to risk her getting anything this year. She hasnt been in hospital with breathing issues for over 12 months which is a miracle so trying to keep it that way. I also had my 2nd cervical cancer vaccine. My arm is really sore, couldnt lay on it last night. It happened with the last one too, think the muscle must tense up from the needle.
Sierra has cut 2 top eye teeth so 14 all up now. The other 2 eye teeth are almost thru too. She has been a bit grumpy from them but not too bad. She had her 18mth CHN assessment too last week. She has grown 7 1/2 cm since 12months so is now 81.5cm & she's put on 2.4kg so is now 10.89kg which is good.
Just had some new chest of drawers delivered for the girls, better start getting their clothes organised.... they have TOO many!

Tiredmummy, no news yet, the real estate agent said she would contact me in the afternoon. Trying not to get my hopes up - landlords probably don't want 3 kids under 4 in their lovely property.

Mim, hope Josh feels better soon and starts sleeping better too.

M had a massive nap yesterday, 3.5hours and then didn't fall asleep till 10pm last night. Then he woke at 3:30am and didn't go back to sleep till 6:30am only to be woken at 7:45am so we could get our butts into gear for kindy. I'm wrecked!

sammy - yikes i hope you get some good sleeps to catch up for that horror night!!

Liviesmum, I guess they just don't want to give immunisations to kids with a low immune system. Especially one like the chicken pox one which I think is a live vaccine. But if there's no fever and they are happy and feeling well apart from a sniffle I think it should be fine. Maybe call first or worse they can do is send you home if they think the kids aren't up for it.

Cordelia...no problems getting the CP vacc, but we did it early in the month. After you mentioned C's height last night I measured TJ. She's about the 81cm mark too. And yes, she's 13kg too, LOL. have had to pull out the size 2 clothes before she outgrew them.
Sammy...Bummer about the TH. :fingerscrossed: the next one you like is yours.
Liviesmum...I'd just clean up their noses and take them in anyhow. At this time of year it's hard to get them without one bug or another. TJ had a running nose with ehr second flu/CP vacc and she was ok.
DFB...The Fairies are another great Aussie kids program. Following in the footsteps of Bananas, The Wiggles and Hi-5. It's a bit girly, so C should love it when she gets a bit older!DD1 is right into it.
Strawberry...Good to hear you can come on Sat, we'll see you there!

Congratulations Kewlchic!! :smiliedance:

We had a shocking night with Josh last night, including 1 hour straight of screaming (which started just as we were heading for bed). Apparently one of his ears is a little red, which is not meant to happen with grommets ... grrr! However, mum has taken him overnight as my dh is away for work tonight. Mum reports that Josh is smiling, giggling and generally running around like a crazy baby tonight, so I think he's feeling better. Such a relief.

tabby ... :smiliedance: for the money! That's great! Hope you're all better soon.

We had no trouble getting the CP vaccine for Josh but it was 5 or so weeks ago now. We had hoped to book him in for his vaccinations this week, but with the tonsillitis I've put it off and will probably go ahead next week.

Josh is now 12.5kg and 85cm tall. Isn't it funny to be saying 'tall' now rather than 'long'?

Should go ... I'm in extreme need of sleep. Hope you all have a good night!

Hi everyone!

I'm in heaven! DS1 has gone for a holiday at my Mum's till sunday, forgot how easy it is with just one. Missing him like crazy but really enjoying the break!

Target Toy Sale, I was sickeningly organised. Mum came down to babysit and I cut out all the pics from the catalogue so I had a list. DH ended up coming along too as his work was rained out. Had my trolly full and in the layby line behind only 3 others by 8:30am. Sitting having a coffee shortly afterwards. Anyway both boys are done for birthdays and xmas. The rest are all presents for the Birthday Party kitty. DS1 gets invited to so many parties, I got everything half price and should be sorted for quite a while! Got the cutest bubble machine for M - the only item that wasn't half price but loved it!

Mouse, hope TJ's bum is better!

Perthies, enjoy your meet and wish I could be there!

Prepared our records for the accountant last night so hoping we get a tax return! We have to get a bigger car to fit 3 kiddies in the back!

Bridget had her first haircut on Saturday norning- it is so cute, but she looks like a different child. She also has a balck eye as she fell off a toy she should not have been standing on onto the corner of the coffee table at my friends house- she is such a monkey!

Mouse- :smiliedance: woohoo on the sleeps!
I spoke too soon:no::crying::sleeping:Had a shocker last night with TJ. Teeth again. Wish the bloody eye teeth would hurry up and come through.

I'm feeling really bummed out at the moment. All I seemed to do on the weekend was scream at DD1. I'm so over not having any time without the kids. Every third week I have a morning out shopping (so much fun. NOT!) without them, and the occasional sick day from work. But I haven't had a night without at least 1 monster for at least 20 months (it's probably closer to 2 years). I'm really p!ssed at my parents ATM too. They've just bought a property 2.5 hours away, so that means no help from them at all. I'm almost ready to stop inviting my sister (single, no kids) around on the weekends for dinner as she just sits on her bum. Had a call from MIL last night, they might do a flying trip to see us in a couple of weeks, but that won't provide any relief. They stay with us, and we won't have the chance of a weekend away as we've got birthday's coming out our ears at this time of year.

Sorry for the winge, but I don't have anyone I can b!tch to who understands. DH just goes on about how hard is is for him.....:ecomcity: without recognising how hard my life is.

I guess one bonus (touch wood) is we've not had any real colds & flu yet this winter.

Hope everyone else is having a good day,

Lisa

Hey Mouse. About time you had a good whinge! I honestly don't know how you manage with 2 troublesome sleepers, work, a DH who works way from home and no other help or support. Hope you pointed out to your DH that even though he does work hard while away when he knocks off work he still gets time to himself whereas you come home to keep working as mum and home manager. I'd be really struggling if I had to go to work everyday.

Not much consolation but Cameron has had some shocking night (and days) as well lately. Cannot wait for all his teeth to finish coming through. It's the eye teeth giving us trouble too. At least my DH seems to understand - he got back on Sat from his 4WD trip and yesterday arvo tried to help get grumpy clingy whinging Cameron to have his nap. Gave up after an hour and said as much as he had missed Cameron he didn't know how I survived 2 weeks alone with him without going insane. Just have to make the most of having him home for the week before he goes away for a month for work.

Nearly forgot, Cameron will finally drink cows milk. Had to offer it a zillion times and finally decided to add a small amount of aktavite to it and now he gets so excited about his 'muk' drink in the afternoon. I'm down to adding only a few granules of aktavite and think I'm close to leaving it out all together. Maybe now that there's an alternative I can finally get him to give up some of his breastfeeds.

Liviemum, a while ago I think you mentioned that Bridget was screaming at almost anything and everything. Cameron does that too - it's driving me bonkers!

Kewlchic, your birth story had me laughing too. Such a vivid description I couldn't help picturing it! Sounds like all is going well.

Mouse :hugs: to you darls I know it's hard not having DH home esp when you need him and when he does not understand it's :hair: I feel your pain. you winge away if it helps.

Lives Lachlan has had so many haircuts his hair grows really quick and now he is scared about getting his haircut last time the hairdresser used the buzz cutter on him and it frecked him out so I don't know what I am going to do now I have tried to cut his hair at home but not as good as the hairdressers.

Us All is going well DH been home for about 3 and a half weeks I think and it's going so well I was a bit worried how we both would go with him being home for a while longer then he is when he is working but it's really great love having some one to chat with at night time and to help out I think I will be very upset :rain:when he has to go back to work. Kaiyden woke once last night woho mind you we didn't go to bed till midnight tho to busy :ecomcity:

Gee it's really quite on here were is everyone?

It has been quiet on here. We're all busy I suppose.

kewlchic ... great story about the waters breaking. I remember reading that waters breaking at home or in public is actually pretty uncommon. But, obviously it does happen. Kaiyden sounds like a great sleeper already!

mouse ... :hugs: whinge away if it helps. I wish I could be practical help, but unfortunately i can't. It's not a crime to want some time without the kids, even if it is time when they are sleeping. Have a chat with your dh again and see if he can help a little bit more somehow ... ?take the kids out on a saturday morning to give you quiet at home perhaps?

Things are crazy here. I'm covering a job this week (as well as doing my job) as someone is on annual leave. I was like a zombie last week so I tried to get plenty of rest on the weekend to prepare for this week. It helped, but today was still shockingly busy. In fact even if there had been 2 of us it would have been a very busy day. And I have to be at work at 7:30am tomorrow, yuck.

Josh is still not 100% but much closer to it. He was finally eating normally today, but for some reason he wouldn't sleep during the day (normal is 2 - 3 hours in the afternoon). He's also waking up crying overnight, usually early in the night for the last few nights. It's rare for him, so disrupting for us.

He's learning new words almost every day. It's freaky really. He now says 'oodle-doo' or similar in response to 'what does a rooster say?'. He started saying 'bear' today too. And finally, the word 'no' is in frequent use. He's been saying it for weeks, but rarely. Now he'll say it a lot. If he doesn't want more food he will turn his head away, put up his hands and say 'no' ... but unfortunately not all the time. He also says 'no' for nose, so sometimes it's hard to tell what he means :)

Mouse: As you already know I have had my whinge via pm with you. I am sure mine is due to waking nights for the last week + too so I fully understand where your coming from :hugs:
Hope you manage a night off very soon. :fingerscrossed:
I dont know how you do it, Im struggling with 1 littly and part time!!!! and a little one who usually sleeps through!

Anyhow! To top my whinge off I think we have just lost "the stig" ( our cat of 1 yr ) As we went outside to get into the car we heard a almighty thud and screech of tyres and saw something black go flying..yes he hit a black cat he said..
NO sign of stig yet but hes usualy gone till about 9ish so fingers crossed it wasnt him...there is about 2 other black cats here in the street.
I checked in the direction of where he went but couldnt find anything..he was hit REALLY hard, hard enough to break the guys under light cover and send that flying too.
If it was him I do hope it was quick and painless and hes not laying somewhere in the rain hurt :(
Thats whats eating at me right now..Im off to have another walk and see.
sorry for the gloom but no one else here understands my love of him and any animals

Hi guys

keep meaning to get on here more, but things still seem busy, even with DH still home.

Huge CONGRATS to kewlchic on the birth of Kaiyden!! :smiliedance: What a great birth story....I always wanted my waters to just break at home like that, lol. Sounds like you're settling well into a family of 4 as well, how's the c/s recovery going?

MOUSE- a million hugs your way. It's a bummer to be p*ssed off with family and DH as well. I reckon it's just a male thing- they always think they're worse off! I hope you can work something out so you get a break....hmmm maybe like you take off for a week alone to some tropical paradise?? lol, ya I know I'll meet you there in my dreams too!

TABBY- you poor thing, I so hope your cat wasn't hit!! That sounds horrible what you saw nonetheless, think I would be traumatized even if it wasn't my kitty :(

MIM- good on you working 2 jobs! does sound crazy busy though. X is about the same as Josh with the words, it's funny how they start out, then slowly make more sense.

sorry tis all i can do for now....thinking of you all though, and hope everyone's going great... will try and update on us soon. take care

IT wasnt our cat!!! He came home at 9.30ish pm as usual. Im so relieved but yes Aries very traumatizing to see it. I had witnessed our first cat of 7 yrs die like that right out front our house. I held him in my arms while he died, I still have the scar scratches on my arm from him while he did. So it was a bit like dejavu for me. I did say if it was him then never again having a cat. This road is way too busy and speeders :(
Stig got the biggest cuddle EVER, am sure hes was wondering what on earth lol

Glad alls well for you Aries, lovely to hear from you xxx

Must go get ready for work.
Back this arvo or night to catch up.
just wanted let yous know wasnt stig :smiliedance:

Glad your cat is safe and well Tabby. My pet cat as a kid was lost that way...very upsetting and a few years until I was ready for another who was to be (and still is at my parents house :o ) a 100% indoor cat for that very reason.

Thanks for the thoughts girls. I've moved back into an angry mood. Heaven help my parents, if they ask why I don't go down to see them in their new house, they might just not like my answer. I know that sounds mean, but the thing with my mum goes back years. Would take forever to explain it all.

You picked my thought's so easily, LOL. I am seriosly debating running away for a week and leaving DH woth both girls. Then he might start to form some understanding of what it is like.
Tabby...great to hear your cat is ok.
Mim...LOL at the 'no', nose. Maybe you can teach him to point at his nose when he says it.

A slightly better night in our house. I dosed TJ with Nurofen at her first wakeup and that helped a little I think.
TJ is finally getting to a point where I can ask her something (do you want a...) and she'll shake her head for no. And when she says no, she means it.
She's been doing lots of drawing lately (copying big Sis), so she's now got her own colouring book and crayons to 'daw, daw' in.

take care,
Lisa

B had needle today- chicken pox vac, and in the arm- was not prepared for that one. She was very brave though. She is going for her first haircut tomorrow- how cute!

alex got a bad allergic reaction after his injection on thursday- huge golf ball hives on arms/ legs.. youch!!

wild ... I was just thinking of you. How are you? Is Alex better now after his reaction? I hope so.

mouse ... josh does usually point to his nose and say 'no', but sometimes he says 'no' and what he wants is to touch our nose! So cute!

I was in here starting a reply a few hours ago when I hear my husband say 'oh josh', then Josh started howling and then my dh yelled out 'are you there?' to me. Josh was running around playing and he fell and hit his face on the wooden frame of the dining chairs. Thankfully he didn't cut himself, but he got an instant (albeit smallish) bruise and screamed for a few minutes. So, we expect a black eye tomorrow. At least he is well again and back to his usual hyperactive self

TJ's got Conjunctivitis today,. Bloody parents sending their kids to daycare with it, not having started treatment. That and not coming straight away to pick the infected kids up drives me crazy! Hopefully we have started the drops early enough that it is only a mild case. I tackled the manager at the centre this morning and made it clear I was not happy.

Take care,

Hugs to Alex with his hives, TJ with her sticky eyes and Josh with his bump. Liviesmum - how did B's haircut go? M's curls are creeping back - Hooray!

Wild, how's everything with you and little bubba?

What a relief for you Tabby, so glad Stig came home unscathed!

We drove to Dad's for a visit this morning on a major road 2 semis were stopped with police attending the scene. A b&w border collie was lying behind the 1st set of truck tyres. One policeman was attending to the dog while others were putting up witches hats. I'm assuming the dog was still alive as they didn't move it, :fingerscrossed: he's ok. Luckily the boys didn't see. I was impressed the police were concerned for the dog - couldn't see any other damage to the trucks from where I was in the lane next to them.

Nothing much else to report, the baby is kicking away and I somehow have to find the energy to go to cake classes tonight!

Hope you can find some energy for tonight for you.

Us; With the purchase of new tv i also got a dv cam. This morning I was recording Katie while she ate breaky with her "baby" sitting beside her feeding her toast, she proceeded to hand it all to her when I said "no just one" and she holds one up and then I say "yes just one" again and she gives it to dolly. was so cute. will endevour to upload tonight.

had yesterday off and today early done work so am happy for a slower week finally!

Hugs again for all the sick or hurt bubbas, hope theyre feeling better soon

Big :hugs:'s Mouse and please feel free to whinge- you dont do it enough and can totally understand your position. You need to take some time for yourself. Why not book a massage for an afternoon or Saturday whn dh can watch the kids- or even take an arvo off work to do something for yourself- I think it would be so hard to work full time when you are not getting a good nights sleep anyways!

Tabby- So cute is Katie!

Sammy- Aaawww kicking already- this pgy seems to be flying! Haircut was good- she looks so cute- will get some pics up on FB soon.

Cat- B is still a screamin deamon! Mainly at olivia now, or me if not getting the attention she feels she deserves!

 to everyone else and :hugs: to the sick kids and mummies.

Sammy your story of the dog and the semi's is similar to the accident we went by on Saturday whilst travelling to the Southern Highlands- overturned truck full of pigs. When we drove past there were dead pigs being scapped up off the road. Luckily dd1 was under her blanket playing her DS so she did not see them- was pretty horrific really.

Not much to report, all good at my end. I go back to work 3 days a week on September 1st, so only 4 1/2 weeks to go.

Must fly, dinner wont cook itself, unfortunately.

B's a real little chocoholic isn't she LOL.

Michael's latest trick is doing a wee on the tiles every night before he gets in the bath - that section of floor is extremely clean after nightly doses of dettol. Last night DH tricked him and left his nappy on. Looks of confusion as he patted the floor for the usual wet patch were hilarious. I had no idea he was that aware!

Mouse, I think it's time you got a break. Hope DH obliges! And if he does, make it a regular thing. One day off every month or so is not a big ask.

Cake decorating was fun last night. Learning how to make orchids, next week is the dreaded extension work - not sure I'm up for that!

So cute Tabby! If M was a girl he'd have loads of hair but it's so curly it wouldn't look anywhere near that long!

M was up screaming between 11:30pm till 12:45am. Worked himself into a state before we finally gave in and gave him milk and his fave DVD. I have no idea when he finally laid down again but he didn't want to wake up this morning! We are all still in our pj's, better get moving, grocery shopping awaits - Joy Joy!

Hope everyone is going ok

TJ's eyes have cleared, so we got onto it quickly enough.

Is anyone else finding they have something permanently attached to them at the moment? When at home I can't do anything without TJ either following in behind, hanging onto my leg, or holding her arms up for a tuddle. DH came home yesterday and she wouldn't have a bar of him.

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm planning a me day tomorrow. With a Chiro visit first thing, then as many plant nursery visits as I can find. What I desperatly need is sleep. DD1 came into our bed at 5 this morning, could have clobbered her. Am hoping MIL will take a couple of night wakes when they visit. I might even use earplugs to shut everything out and get some sleep -- if the swag was comfortable I'd set it up in the shed for a few nights...:p:laughing:.

Have a great weekend, looks like it's going to be wet here, might have to put off the plant shopping 'til Sunday when it's supposed to be better.
