Anyone else experiencing pain?

I've been having a fair bit of pain in my lower stomach recently. It started off very on and off and didn't worry me too much, but in the last couple of days it has been more persistent. It isn't severe pain, but enough to be bothered by it. I have had no bleeding at this stage. Should I contact my doctor about it or is it normal? My midwife did mention that I may experience some pain, so I don't know.... I have my 12 week scan in 2 weeks. Should I just hold off until then?

Is this you first bub? If it is, then it's most likely pain associated to the streching of your uterus. It's quite normal and I had this really badly with my first. It felt like permanent period cramps.

My advice is to keep an eye on things and if it gets worse or you start bleeding then go to the ER straight away. Or if you are still concerned then speak to your doctor or midwife.

Try not to worry though, it's most likely just bubs growing in there :)

hello! i had pain so bad I thought my period was coming for the first 7 weeks or so... I even asked for a scan at 6 weeks and it was ok, and then at 8 weeks i had brown discharge and so they did another scan, but all was fine. They said its just my uterus stretching and growing... and to only worry if I get blood, and with that- red blood! my brown stuff didnt count.

My pain was unbearable at some points i was curled up in a ball....

Can i ask you- are you constipated? Its easy to get constipated where you are at and that can cause pain at the front too!

Just take it easy and call your doc if you bleed or pain becomes unbearable... otherwise make sure you are not constipated?

woops i forgot to say i am 13 weeks now and everything was fine at my 12 week scan! baby was big and healthy! and i still get the occasional pain!

Stretching ligaments most likely! Sometimes I get a really bad stabbing pain. Hang out for your scan but if you are really worried about it contact your doctor for a scan.
