What size should a follicle(sp) Be??

Hi all
I would just like to know what size a good follicle should be before the say its a cyst? I had an ultrasound today and they where between two and three centrimetres? Is this bad! My lining was good though at 18 mm! Hopeing this is my month!

Debi - I'm not overy sure but I think it depends what CD you were on as to what your readings are.

I had one done on CD6 and had the tale end of AF and my Endometrium measured 10mm in thickness. Right overy had 8 follicles measuring up to 10mm and my left had 10 follicles measuring up to 11mm....

My scan just came back as 'normal study' for the CD day I was on.

Probably no use comparing the numbers as I think you are on a different CD day to me?

FS' or GYNO's like too see a mature follicle of about
18-30mm ::=>no wonder it really hurts sometimes when we ovulate as they are passed into the small opening of the Fallopian tubes:devil:

Debi, I answered you in the other thread, but all 5 of yours are ripe and probably contain eggs, which means FS might have you hold off on this cycle. Let us know how your appt goes! :)

Our clinic says that anything over 13 is classed as dominant but they like them to be over 18 before you ovulate. Looks like you have a number of dominants so as PTB says you may be told to hold off this cycle :no:
