Hi ladies

I am sooo desperate to continue BF my 9mth old son who is self weaning ATM :gloomy:. I am 19 weeks pregnant and since he stopped comfort sucking through the night he has begun to wean himself (obviously my milk supply took a dramatic drop from such a sudden change in demand). He dropped down to only 3 feeds a day (used to feed every 3 hours) and now really only feeds first thing in the morning, when I offer it too him at lunch and dinner he does the suck-release-tantrum thing over and over again :hair: and I end up offering him a bottle :( which I know makes things worse. :idea:The only things I can really think of to try and improve the situation is to offer BF before Lunch and Dinner like I do in the morning and to offer it too him more often. Any other suggestions?

TIA

Someone posted a good link in THIS (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=187756) thread about nursing strikes, so scroll down to see it. You being pregnant might affect this, but it might be worth a read to see if you can get through it.

Also, make sure you contact the ABA, they would have great advice. I've heard of plenty of women tandem feeding (BFing a newborn and first born), so it can be done

Good luck! :)
