Hi,

Does anyone live around or been to Nelson Bay, NSW? We are going on a holiday in 2 weeks time just past there and I was wandering if anyone has any info on the area or suggestions of things to do with the kiddies

Thanks :flowerz:

I love Nelson Bay (got married there :D)

* Dolphin watch cruise (got married on a boat :D)
* Toboggin Park at Salamander Bay
* 10 pin bowling at Salamander Bay
* Ferry to Tea Gardens (nice little town)
* About 15 minutes out of town at the turn off to Lemontree Passage there is an animal park, little theme park (might be good but havn't been up there for a while), you should see this on your way driving into Nelson Bay, its on the same road.
* Fishing (hubby told me to put this one in, he is a fishing nut )
* Go-carts (about 10 minutes out of town)
* There is a company that does sand dune rides, buggies and toboganing down sand dunes. Not sure how old your kiddies are.

Hope that helps.

Cheers
Janet.

ETA - i am very jeleous. My SIL lives at Lemontree Passage and i miss her sooooo much. Would love to be you right now

My parents just came back from a new resort at Salamander Bay. They said it was the most beautiful place they have ever been too ( and they have stayed in many places before).
As mentioned you have the dolphin watch cruises (now is the right time to see them)
There is some beautiful beaches/picnic areas up there.

Hope you have a fantastic time.

The whales are going past now too so if you go on a cruise you should see some. We were out there yesterday and saw 3 different pods.
