View Full Version : How should baby sit in a Bouncinette?

I've just bought a bouncinette (old style crochet number) but it just doesn't look comfy for bubs (even though she appears happy enough).

Are her legs supposed to hang over the end? I can't find a photo anywhere of a bubby in one and as the strap is simply a fabric band, it isn't that supportive and looks like she is going to slip out the bottom.

Maybe she's too little?

When DS was tiny i just layed a blanket over the whole thing and sat him where he was comfy. Of cause I'd sit with him but he never seemed to move. After a while I would put him in the band.

we never had any trouble with ours. I found it was the best bouncer as it actually bounced when baub was old enough!

As mentioned, I just used it with a blanket over the mesh so it waa a bit softer, I used the safety band/harness if you can call it tha lol. Always watch bub and its fine

We used to put a blanket over it for ds & he loved it.
