does anyone know of natural products that help to stimulate the ovaries into producing more eggs. i desperately want a big family but my partner has put his foot down and said 1 more and thats it. i am hoping to get twins (or more!), because i don't think i could convince him again that we need 1 more child in our lives.

please help

Here is a post i found about some women who were taking Clomid to increase their chances of multiples.... (there are a couple of nasty responses in there but allot of back and forthing from the women trying it)

I am not recommending you do this though, i dont know much about it, i know many on this forum are using it because of decreased fertility. It can have side effects and is generally not prescribed unless you have a fertility problem. Plus you may feel like something like this is going behind DH's back to get twins.

I must admit, DH for some reason would love twins, i would to but only for the closeness they would (hopefully) feel growing up.
I wouldnt take anything unless it was natural like eating more of a particular food or taking a particular herb or two etc...

I googled it to see if I could find anything 'natural' and didnt find anything.

Plus, remember the extra risks with multiples and carrying them to term. I know a few couples who had twins and they both went through hell with early births and the emotional strain that was.... thankfully in their cases both twins pulled through with no known permanent health problems.

I used a natural cream to stimulate ovulation called Subvene. I brought it through somebody I knew, the company that makes it is called Neways so you would need to track down a supplier.

I was told I would never have children (PCOS) and hadnt had a period in months, after a few days of using the cream, I got AF and then 3 months later concieved my DS.

I would HIGHLY reccomend going to the trouble to track it down. When I brought it, it cost me roughly $60.00 for a tub. It is great though.

Goodluck.

thanks guys. i will look into those suggestions now.

i am aware of the risks associated with twin pregnancy but i would love to have a large family as i was an only child until my parents had my little sister later in life. i don't want to do that to my children and as there is such a large gap between beth and her half sisters and brother i would like her to have a few siblings closer to her age, so they can all grow up together.

Hi Billie&Beth - some info on Clomid and multiple births. There is roughly a 5% chance of twins whilst using Clomid, less chance for Triplets, Quads etc. I am on it at the moment to induce ovulation. You would need to be prescribed it by a doctor (probably a specialist) as it is a very strong medication and can have some very nasty side effects. If you Google it you will be able to read all this for yourself.
Somebody actually posted a thread on here (somewhere) about conceiving twins and from what I remember Yams are supposed to help. However, if you can find it, it was a very interesting read!
Good luck.
