Is still in bed, snoring away while you have gotten the kids up, changed them, fed them, dressed them, sterilised bottles, blah blah blah??

Or am I the only lucky one?

 Wretched snorers!!! Do you get a fright when you wake before bubs? I know I do, cause it very rarely happens. They seem to ALWAYS be awake :hair::laughing:

Aah no, on work days I set my alarm to wake before him so I can sneak a shower before he gets up... so I'm used to waking before him... I'm not used to sitting on my couch with my lap top for an hour alone thought

I swear I am only one of an elite list of people whose kids wake way to early! For me to set an alarm, it would have to be before 4am:rolleyes:  I must have peed someone off big time in a past life!

 in the summer I'd have to do that, Naomi... but in the winter he sleeps in :D

Well I know I don't really have kids yet, but I thought I would say that DP is in bed snoring louder than a motorbike, and wont be up until well past lunch. Someone had a big night last night... so no sympathy from me! :devil6: I only wish the boys WERE born, and when they had a smelly nappy I would dump them on the bed for Daddy to take care of! ;)

me me me......my DH is well and truly asleep. Frankly, he is not a morning person and I am. He can also sleep through ANYTHING

DD wakes and chats to herself for a while and then we get up. But its pretty much always with me...

My DH is still  but he worked until 1am this morning so I am letting him sleep.
I was first awake this morning,so dozed for an hour until DS woke at 8am.
I have work in 2 hours:(

I have a foolproof plan for having my DH up on a Saturday morning - he and DS do swimming at 9.30 - so he just can't sleep in (anymore).

These days with the chilly mornings, Andrew is pretty happy to just jump into bed with us in the morning and cuddle up - so its almost as good as a sleep in.

But in the old days..in the first 2 years or so....I could have written the OP many a time - in fact, I'm sure I did post several vents of that nature! :)

DP has this ability to sleep through a crying baby. I wish I could sleep that deeply!

me me!

but we have an arrangement - i'll get my sleep in tomorrowThe same thing happens in our house. DP gets a sleep in on Saturdays and I get one on Sundays. The only problem is that I will miss out on my sleep in tomorrow as we have to be up early to do the 2-2.5hr drive to Melbourne. :( it's not fair.

We used to have an arangement where one would get up one day and the other up the next. Wonder what happened to that idea:detective:

He's still in bed ATM but he's awake and Ds is in there with him. Can't complain too much.

DP is at work today too so no sleep in for him.
tomorrow it will be DD1 will wake at around 6:30 and jump into bed with us until about 7:30 then DP will get up with her (7:30 is a sleep in for someone who is use to waking up at 5), i will sleep until about 8:30 and DD2 will normally wake at around 9:30 (mind you yesterday it was 10:sleeping:)

going off the subject a little (alot!) but chooks wow i bet the kids love it. I was brought up on a farm and would love to have animals like that running around! Sounds like fun (hard work too i know ) what a great place to bring up kids.

My husband has never ever gotten up to the kids in the middle of the night. I think he may have let me sleep in once or twice but that is very rare!
Ahh well, he cooks maybe twice a week so i suppose thats okay :)
