I went to the Sydney one & it was great. My only advice would be, if possible, leave your kids at home. You've never seen so many prams in such a confined space, it's really diffucult to get up & down the aisles. It also helps to know the prices of things, as some of the 'specials', weren't really specials at all.

Also, not sure if it's like the Sydney one, but I printed free entry vouchers off the website.

Went today...the absolute best time to look at any of the stalls is during that 1/2 hr that everyone is watching Dorothy :D...my poor DD didn't get to watch because I wanted to walk like mad then!

I had DD in the pram and DS in the baby bjorn. Prams are horrendous and make it really hard to be able to stop and actually look at stalls (when 3 prams are covering the front of each one, or when people are travelling in large groups and all stop dead in front of you)... I didn't personally get a lot of samples, but then, couldn't get close to a lot of the stalls (and don't think there were as many on offer as last time I went)! Only thing I actually brought (but then 2nd bub, so already have a lot) were breast pads (exciting exciting) but the pidgeon ones were 3pkts for $20 and they're nearly $9 a pkt in Coles at the moment

My biggest issue is the fact that sooo few stalls actually advertise prices...all good that they want to demonstrate and talk to you, but when you can't actually get a hold of a person, it would be nice to know if you are just wasting your time (ie hugely more than you'd be willing to pay anyway IYKWIM)

It's definitely easiest to pick an end and walk up and down each aisle from there....best thing I saw was the place where DH can try on a belly (for empathy) didn't actually see anyone do it though  Lots of MCN stalls and all the usual photographers and major groups (ie NUK, Tommie Tippee etc) but don't feel there was as much variety as in past years - or maybe I just had less need, so could simply skim over the places that were of absolutely no interest

Anyway, just my 2 cents worth (just reread - sounds a bit whingy, but maybe just cause I'm buggered:laughing:!)

Oh Well If The Expo Doesn't Turn Out To Be Our Cup Of Tea The South Bank Market's Are On Over The Weekend So :fingerscrossed: The 1 Hour Trip Wont Be 100 % Of A Waste

Hey Mel, jen and Cora

I hope you have a good time... I went when I was pregnant with Sophia and boy was that hard work walking around with a big belly and ppl and prams everywhere:laughing: Dh complained the whole time, so we didnt stay long at all...he is no good in large crowds

I would love to go again and have a good look (now that I am not pregnant it wasnt much fun walking around while My back was aching and feet swollen...but taking 2 kiddies would probably be worse LOL

I hope you have a wonderful time:flowerz:

h this expo is not sounding so exciting now. The thought of spending my sunday squished amongst hundreds of buggies and not being able to see stuff.....emm.....not so appealing. I think going to seaworld instead is sounding better. I think I will have to think about it.

Hi Girls

Well we braved the crowds and made it out in one piece

We ended up catching the train in - lucky too as most of the carparks had their "FULL" signs out when we walked past.

The free tickets are one per person - we had to wait in line for about 10 (long) minutes, but it was worth it to save $28!!!

Yes very busy and jam packed with prams, the stalls were ok - I wouldn't say that anything was overly exciting, although I would have loved to have gone while I was pregnant, to get tips, ideas etc before buying things that I already have for Jordyn. Lots of competition forms to fill out - if your into that sort of thing :D

It was a good afternoon out - especially having the beer and fat chips at south bank afterwards :p

Have fun tomorrow - and I will see you (or some of you) on Monday!!!

Yep that sounds like more fun to me too Cora, don't want to sway your decision too far but I'm sure Aimee will have a lot more fun there than at the expo  (although they do have a show for the kids but not sure on the times - wasn't on while we were there)

Haha funny you ask Jen...we had planned on walking in separately so we could both use a voucher, but they were just taking them from everyone so was much better :D

So yep free admission for both of us :smiliedance:

Thats Ok Mel :)

Well We Must Have Picked A Really Good Day To Go It Was A Little Stress Full At First As While We Were Trying To Get In There Was People Coming Out.

I Do Agree That Some Of The Walk Way's Could Of Been Wider Only Because Of The Fact That Theres Traffic Coming From Each Direction And At Any Time 5 Or More People Standing At The Outside Of Each Stand Talking.

We Got Some Great Freebie's ( Nearly A Sample Bag From Each Stand ) With Everything From Mag's To Tupperware Container's In Them.

When We Did Our 2nd Lap Of The Expo ( @ Nearly 4 pm ) We Were Getting Given Boxes And Full Size Bottle's Of Product's :smiliedance: I Even Got To Have A Little Chat To Brad

Hey Jen I never thought of that - getting the giveaways at the end of the expo from people at stalls that just want to get rid of them, haha score!! You definitely went on the better day! :)
