i never iron unless i absolutely can't get away with it. my belief is that body heat helps flatten those creases. i've been called scruffy , for sure.
pet hate is shower recess...........
Cleaning the shower. We have an old manky shower upstairs and its absolutely HORRID to clean.
Luckily we also have a nice new shower downstairs that I use, so I keep well away from the manky one. DH uses it, so he cleans it! :D

Cleaning the shower. Horrible.
I hate putting clothes away. I dont mind hanging or folding or even ironing, but I HATE putting them all away. I'm weird I know but with 4 children in the household, it just seems to be a neverending job...
Washing up - makes me want to :barf:
vaccuming
dusting
doing the washing
cleaning the bathroom
cleaning the floors
emptying the kitty litter
doing the rubbish
doing all the tidying and putting away.
Did i miss any........

OMG raffee... put those kids to work !!! :p They could be putting their own clothes away, couldn't they???
Umm i dont really like hanging washing out. I dont mind bringing it in though.
Luckily my DD is on her way soon, when she's a couple of months old i will have her mowing lawns, scrubbing floors, cooking, washing etc. Hehehe I WISH!! :D Babies are so lazy. They sh*t, someone cleans it up, they get fed, they sleep whenever they want. But i cant wait to be a mummy :D Hehehe i wish i was a baby.
Definately the dishes.
I have a weak stomach and for some reason left over food on plates just makes me gag.
I also hate the ironing, luckily DG doesnt need his work clothes ironed so i try not too buy things that do!

i dont know why, maybe cause im a clean freak and perfectionist, but i love doing house work, sure sometimes i have my moments where i dont, but i clean my house basically everyday!!
i guess cleaning the toilet isnt that fun! but as I pretty much clean daily I never have anything really disgusting to clean!!
It does annoy me though, because I am a perfectionist, no one else can clean the place cause i always have to re do it, im so fussy, and it takes so long cause everything has to be right.
gosh i sound like such a freak dont i.. but somehow, my house is still messy!!! but atleast its clean :D
I will do anything to avoid folding clothes:thumbsdown: , cleaning the oven is a close second!

I am exactly the same, I am a perfectionist when it comes to house cleaning. I have to clean the house so I know it is done properly. If DH did it I would pick out everything he didn't do properly and we would end up in an arguement. I don't mind doing the house cleaning at all. So I must be a freak aswell. I had better go do the vacuumming now as I can see a bit of dirt on the tiles.....LOL

Meeee tooooo thought I was the only one DH thinks I'm nuts or have some kind of disorder - everything has to be spotless when I go to bed each night.
But what I hate is when DH just steps out of his clothes and leaves them on the floor or in a little pile on the bathroom floor. I don't mind cleaning up but I hate cleaning up after lazy people
desertress- i have a dishwasher which i have never used, (I dont know how.lol.as hard as im sure they are!) if I could I would honestly give it to you!!
Oo I'll have it I'll have it!! :D
I find once i get off my butt and start cleaning i do actually enjoy it. Its just like going to work. I hate the thought that i have to work but once im actually at work it aint so bad :)

No 1 would have to be cleaning the toilet/bathroom :barf:
Atm I am over cooking every single night, just working out what to cook. I used to love preparing a big meal or a dinner party when I had the whole day to do it

I really don't enjoy any housework and I have a perfectionist DH that loves everything to be perfect (thanks to the Navy) - but the great thing is he does it himself if he's not happy with the state it's in!
I'd have to say my worst job is the ironing - but DH does half and I do half - he does the shirts and I do the pants/skirts. Works well!!!!! :yelclap:
Nic :ecomcity:
I hate putting clothes away. I dont mind hanging or folding or even ironing, but I HATE putting them all away.
I hate it too - we seem to have a never emptying basket of clothes on the dresser. Ironing I can handle, folding I can handle, putting it all away - forget it!
I hate the big jobs - cleaning out the fridge (finding all those nasty things tucked away at the back of the shelves), cleaning the oven, shower, toilet.
Love to cook, but not too keen on old bits of food left on plates, or finding an old cup of coffee the next day.
I'm not very good at changing the doona cover too, I seem to always get caught up in it and lose the corners. It's frustrating.
Housework bores me, I wish I had my mothers energy levels, she seems to be able to clean all day. My most hated chore would have to be cleaning the bathroom/tiolet - it all seems to take forever. I should be cleaning now :shame:, but bub hub has got me again :D .

Thats what husbands are for  . My DH changes ours, he gets right inside them  , cracks me up every time.
I'm a bit of a fuss-pot and don't really mind doing housework...but I hate doing windows & window tracks...don't ask me why!

well, i used to work at maccas as a wash closer, and now i refuse to do dishes unless 1) i get paid or 2) i have absolutely no choice.
pegging out and bringing washing, vacuuming and any more than 20min cleaning makes my shoulders and wrists hurt... and old injury, very annoying.
but mostly i am just too slack. i seem to be able to find so many other things to do...
however, when DH and I set aside some time for "cleaning" we get a lot done. i spose i just dont like feeling like i am being taken advantage of. LOL

I hate doing rubbish so that is DP's job but other than that I really don't mind housework - crazy I know!! It is about the only time that everyone leaves me alone and I get some time alone to think and talk to myself!!
I do procrastinate when it comes to folding and putting away clothes so I guess that is my least favourite chore!

Meeee tooooo thought I was the only one DH thinks I'm nuts or have some kind of disorder - everything has to be spotless when I go to bed each night.:
arrh pass that 'disorder' ova to me!!! lol i'm sooo lazy...I quickly 'relocate' things 10mins before hubby gets home lol sometimes you might find the iron under the sink if hubbys getting home early I just run around in a fuss puttin things anywhere:laughing: Blame my parents...totally slave drivers when I was a kid...lol i must still be rebelling!! jokes
things will change when i have claudia and become a perm sahm I'm going to make myself be the perfect 'stepford' wife! :fingerscrossed: :p lol

I too HATE ironing! I have even started to go out of my way to buy clothes that don't require ironing. I have even avoided this season's fashion trends as it looks like an ironing nightmare!:o

I HATE mopping and vacuuming:thumbsdown: They are df's only jobs lol
The rest i don't mind so much, we have a dishwasher but tend to find myself doing the dishes by hand a lot just cause the dishwasher is full and i can't be bothered emptying it yet lol:o
I loathe picking up toys and mess off the floor, folding and putting away laundry and ironing, thank goodness for stretch knit:thumbsup:
I pretty much hate all types of housework, but if I had to pick one I'd say the bathroom.

Ummmmm......all of it  Especially when no-one apreciates it and it only takes an hour to look like I havn't done a thing :banghead: Probably wouldn't mind any of it if others would just keep it that way once it's done! I must mop the floor 10 times a day, pick food up off the floor, mop up purposely spilt drinks (almost 2 year thinks it's fun to tip out his drinks), put dirty dishes in the sink because they are left wherever, washing is non stop and no-one wants to put it in the laundry for me let alone fold it up for me! Should I go on

In order of most horrendous:
Cleaning the toilet
washing and drying cutlery (we now have a dishwasher we fight about emptying:banghead: )
making beds and cots from scratch (don't mind stripping them just hate fighting with the mattresses and doona's:gloomy: )
putting away folded and ironed clothes
cleaning bathroom
I could go on and on but must go, the bed needs stripping and the toilet needs cleaning

I will haev to agree with you both! I love houseworking and i am a perfectionist as well (the Virgo in me  ) so i dont have any real complaints. BUt i am sexist and i insist my DP must take out the bins lol (i HATE doing it. god knows what bugs are near those bins  )

I despise folding clothes and putting them away...
Ironing - I think it's such a boring chore. Can't even pass the work to hubby because he doesn't really need to iron his clothes. I need to iron my work clothes. So at the moment I have a lady doing my ironing for me and I just pay her.
Got to be happy with that.
:smiliedance:
I would rather leave something messy than not clean it propperly if that makes sense???
When I start cleaning it can take hrs ...I take each room apart and clean it all as I put it back...1 room at a time...all in a system....I drop things off to the other rooms they belong in as I go.... NOONE can help because they don't do it right!!!! I even wash all my clothes in colour groups ....
I believe that if everything has its own place to go & you always put it back ...then it'll always be there when you need it next time....
DH hasn't got the idea of putting it back yet
littlepickle
28-04-2006, 12:55
My DH always puts things in the kithen back in the wrong places and I can never find anything then!!
I dont complain though as he tries to help - I just go through things weekly putting them back in their proper places
Cleaning the shower....HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT!!!
Definatley the bathroom, although I love seeing it once the job is done. Problem is it dosn't seem to last long. And God help anyone who dares to use the ensuite before me once it is clean!!
I really hate housework sometimes, especially now I'm in the third trimester and I'm worn out and can't dash about. I ended up staying in overnight recently as I got an irritable uterus from doing too much!
However, I love housework shortcuts...
eg. put aluminium foil in the botttom of the oven, reduces need to clean as you just replace it
if you use the tumbledryer and whip the clothes straight onto hangers you don't need to iron.
Anyone got any others?

I hate organising my piles of paper work:banghead: , acording to my DH I am always "sorting them out" but as soon as I do one lot , another piles up, hopefully will have less of it once I am on maternity leave, otherwise, I don't particulary hate any chores (well I don't do many:yes: )
Ironing, cooking, dusting, cleaning.. you name it, its my most hated.
The only thing I dont mind is washing.

I had to laugh when I read your post... I am the same - have lots of paperwork to go thru and yes it does pile up and my DH is always nagging about it all
I am actually going to go thru my kitchen too - I have a week to 2 weeks off due to IVF and I will quietly get all the paperwork done and then tackle the kitchen - I want to re-organise the cupboards... :D

it would have to be the loos (we have 2) which I give a thorough going over twice a week
even though I wear gloves when cleaning them I still never feel like my hands are totally clean and I wash them about 2/3 times afterwards but I always feel yukky and without fail DS wants me to get him something to eat - grrrrrrrrrrrr complete turnoff
