I have decided to wean bubs off the breast and onto formula! Whats the best way to go about doing this??
also question:
How long do i heat a bottle in the mircowave??
I think i used to heat mine for about 15 seconds. But you have to be careful as each microwave is different. I put DS1 on a bottle at 4 months and he managed to take the bottle and still take the boob with no dramas, if Jaylen has already had one bottle i'm sure it'll be no dramas, they find it easier getting milk out of the bottles so take to it pretty easily i find.
Also just a question to other FF mums though do you actually have to heat the bottles or can they just take it room temperature??
Like i would make up the bottles with the boiled water, have the pre-prepared amount of formula in a tomee tippee thing and then just add the powder and give it to him. That was when he was older, but could you still do this to a littleun. (sorry Kayla just always wanted to know that and if it saves you heating the bottles it's far better i think!) :)

hey kayla, with nat she does well between the bottle and breast. maybe just stop giving the breast and express some into the formula. just offer the bottle maybe. it would be easy for me to stop BF cause i dont have much to begin with.
with microwaving if the water is refrigerated i heat it for about 30secs and it is uaually the right temp, just make sure u shake it first! and it depends on the wattage of the micro.

hi,
I think you have probably had your questions answered but i just wanted to offer you some support.
I know it is a realy hard decision to change to formula. I had to change to formula at 2 weeks cause my dd would not take the breast so i was expressing every feed. it was taking up so much time, i was exhausted and devistated (spelling???)that breast feeding was not working out. in the end i slowly changed to fourmula and it is going realy well. I used to cry everytime i saw someone breastfeed but i am now ok with it and i am a much happier mum and my little girl is alot happier. So, in short i just wanted to say that if this is the right decision for you and bubs it is ok, dont feel guilty about it :):):)
