People we know had boy with talipes. They went public throught the childrens hospital and were more than happy with the treatment. Keep in mind if you go private, you will more than likely end up at your cities' childrens hsop anyway, but you will have to pay. You may even end up with the same Drs as a public patient.

DD had talipes when she was born, the doctors organised an appointment at the childrens hospital after she was born. I found the childrens hospital to be great and that was public.
My dd also had talipes, which was not that bad, she required hospital treatment at the physo department (Public), but i was also given a list of massages to do with her at home 3 times a day which speeded up recovery, she was fine after a few months

My DD was born with this. She was also born 11 weeks early in Nov 2004. They plastered both her feet when she was about 4 weeks old and still in hospital. She saw a physio once a week, who did the plastering to her feet. The plaster started from her toes to her knee and as she grew she had to have the plaster up to her hips. When she finally came home after 8 weeks in hospital she still had them on, they changed the plaster every week because they grow so fast. By February she had the plasters removed and didn't need them any more. We just had to do foot massages to strengthen the leg muscles. I think because she was born very early her bones were very soft so her feet went back into place very quickly. She had check ups with a special doctor every six months. She is now 17mths old and is walking fine, her right foot is turned in a little bit but it is no way interfering with her walking. She has one more check up next month and I think that will be it.
I was born with the same thing but on only one foot where my DD had it on both feet. But in the end everything has worked out fine and I beleive it will work out fine for you. I went public as I did not have to pay for a thing.
