My name is Antoinette Currah and I am an associate producer with SBS televisions news and current affairs forum INSIGHT.
On Tuesday 16th May we are recording a forum on Parenting.
We want to hear how Australian parents are coping as they raise their children. Critics of modern day parenting are suggesting that Australia is raising a generation of superbrats with the softly softly parenting approach.
Many turn to the Supernanny for hints and tips, but again many expets disagree with her techniques.
Is there a parenting crisis? Are parents afraid to ask for help? And do children hold all the power in the household?
We are hoping to bring together parenting experts, authors, nannies, school teachers and parents themselves to discuss whether Australians are experiencing a parenting crisis and if so, what should be done about it.
