i weighed my ten week old ds today and am a bit worried about his weight gain. He only put on 200g in the past fortnight, compared to about 300g over two weeks previously. I know its not a big drop but we've been having attachment issues the whole time which now seem to be improving.

He's weeing and pooing regularly, sleeping well (sometimes 8 to 10 hours at night) and happy and smily, although does have his cranky times.

Should I be worried about his weight? He's dropped to the 25th percentile on the growth charts from about the 50th percentile.

After all my troubles trying to breastfeed, I thought he would start packing weight on now that things are improving.

Actually, I think that 100g a week is pretty good for a BF bub! So long as the gains are consistent by that stage I wouldn't worry. If anything the gaining slows down, they can't possibly continue to gain so fast all the time or they'd be 100kg by 5 years old .

My DS started out at 4.375kg when born, but over time he has evened out and now he's about bang on 50th percentile for weight (he's still BF at 16 months). There were times when DS didn't gain much at all (like 10g a week once), but I knew he was healthy all the same so I didn't worry. Trust your gut and have a look at the big picture. If you think he looks healthy then I'm sure he's fine.
