I dont live there anymore but i was born there. I have an aunty that still lives there.
My older brother used to live there and loved it. He talks very fondly of it and I think if he had the opportunity to move back he would. He reckons that it had everything! Good luck with your decision making!

Hi all :)
We have a weekender cottage that we have been trying to sell 20 mins sydney side of mudgee. We will have to move there if it does not sell soon. I love it there its beautiful private and peaceful. Great place for raising children too. The best neighbours anyone could dream of, so kind and helpfull! Its only on the market for 198k, we thought it would sell fast :(.
We will miss family and friends alot but we actually hardly see them at all. So I feel we would cope fine. Also they could come up for weekends and we could do wine tours as our property is central to the wineries. I was just hoping to connect with some mums out that way and see how they find it.
Take care all!

Is there anyone here who has moved far away from everyone they know?
How did you find it?

I have never lived in Mudgee but just in response to your latest post, yes i have moved away from family and it doesn't seem to be too much of a problem. I live 12 hours away from mine but i have never had my family around me since i have had children so i have never had any outside help anyway.
I do get homesick and lonely sometimes but its usually nothing a phonecall won't fix. I try to involve myself with activities eg toy library, playgroups etc so the kiddies can make friends and i get out of the house.
Hope you enjoy your move. It sounds like a lovely place to be moving too.

i regards to your previous post
I don't :laughing::laughing:
We were treated on a night out not long ago when my parents came to visit. Went out to dinner and i felt like i had lost both arms and legs all night as i didn't have my girls with me :o
If we go out, the girls just come with us as we have no other option.
