Good Evening! My name is Haylie and I live in Kalgoorlie Western Australia. My Husband and I have just had Boy/girl twins Hayden Phillip and Brooklen Lily. they are now 10.5 weeks old and the most precious part of my life. :) :) ...I delivered them at 37 weeks and 1 day via C-Section here in kalgoorlie.

We also have Phil's 15 year old daughter living with us - Ebony. Life is very busy for us all and we are enjoying our new 'big' family. The babies are sleeping right through the night and we are getting lots of sleep which really helps ;)

I am new to this forum and look forward to getting to know you better. Hoping to meet other Mums with twins, and also people in our area.

Thanks for listening - I will read some posts in hope of getting to know some of you. :D

Hi,

it sounds like you are a busy lady! I would love to chat more for sure. It would be handy to have someone that knows what is coming up for me IYKWIM. How are your girls?

At the moment we are having fun with lots of smiles some baby talk and cute little actions etc....Brooklen has just realised today that she is the one that controls her own hands LOL. Its amazing and wonderful to watch them interact with each other.

Where do you live?

I can send you my e-mail address if you like.....

Look forward to chatting to you - haylie

:) Hi Haylie, I am Mum to beautiful twin boys Aidan & Cale who are 7 months old. We live in Alice Springs, NT. Aidan & Cale were also born at 37 weeks and since then time has just flown by. It seems like only yesterday that the boys were tiny little things who were so dependant and now they are sitting and starting to crawl and wanting to feed themselves. In the last week they have started to play with toys together and keep each other amused for quite a while - I should be able to get more done now but I am having too much fun watching them!! Enjoy this really special time with your two - it is hard work but definately worth it.

Hello, I am mum to 3 month old twins, Ethan & Riley born at 33 weeks and 2 days, however they were a hefty 5 pound 4 when they were born. I could not hold them in any longer. I went into labour and the doctors couldn't stop me so they were delivered by emergency c/section. I am an identical twin myself and my dad is also a twin so it wasn't a real shock when I found out I was having twins. The thing I find funny is the amount of people asking if they were IVF twins. Has anyone else had this question asked numerous times? Not that I am in any way against IVF, the gift of life is so precious, I don't care which way people go about it!!

Hi ladies and thanks for the welcomes!

I get asked the IVF question all the time ~ But we are the proof of a pure blessing also! We were told we would need IVF but all progressed well through our tracking cycles and whamo Twins for us!

It is such a precious time and I too think that they are growing too fast....Hayden and Brooklen are 15 weeks now and time is just flying.

Glad to see there are a few of us here to chat to each other also!!

What stages are your children up to?

My boys are at 14 weeks now and weigh just over 14 pounds. They have started to smile, giggle, goo & gaa, it really is a beautiful stage. They are not sleeping much during the day though which is a bit of a pain but they are so tired at night I get a pretty good nights sleep.

Hi Everyone
I have found you get some of the most amazing comments - not just about IVF. Someone told me the other day that my boys could not possibly be twins as one is slightly bigger than the other  !!! We are on holidays at the moment and it has been great showing off the boys to all their relatives. They are just starting to hit that 8 month 'stranger danger' stage though so every time they meet someone new they both want me to hold them - a little difficult when they are both nearly 9kgs!!! They are both crawling now and attempting to talk which is really cute.
Hope you are all getting on ok.

Hi ladies - Hoping you and your double bundles are well and staying warm!

We are having such a great time with our babies and they are just at such a lovely stage I could just freeze them LOL....

We have rolling, goo's & Gaa's, growling, crying when the bottles are taken from them and many many smiles!

Yesterday we had the 4 month injection needles and Hayden woke at 4am with a temp but other than that they are fine...

How are you all feeling? Will chat soon

Haylie

my girls turned 2 in may.i was constantly asked if they were naturally concieved which they were, but i thought it was a bit personal to be asked in the first place.i would get passing comments from strangers "oh you've got your hands full" or "double trouble"or "you poor thing".it got to the stage were i would make a rude comment back.now when i take angelic looking but incredibally naughty girls out all i hear is "oh arent they beautiful?"yeah right.i now understand those earlier comments were to prepare me.altho, they can be so beautiful but i think that because they are constantly stared at and spoken to by strangers they get a bit silly and perform.so much to look forward to girls.twice as nice and double the love to you all.
