Hi guys
My DS (6 months old) has a rash above his lips. I have been told from other mums that it could be dribble rash, he only has a dummy to go to sleep but its where his dummy goes so i cant seem to get it cleared. I have tried nappy rash cream and another cream by DU"IT kids facial cream....can anyone suggest some REALLY GOOD cream??? I have his naming day on saturday and i am hoping it will be gone because it shows up heaps in photos! Any suggestions would be GREAT!!!
I don't know about that one Hayley but a chat to your pharmacist could shed some light for you.
Hope Saturday goes beautifully for you.....it should.......you have done a great job planning it

Awwwwwww poor bubba!
Try the heinz sudocream or go to the chemist and see what they say!
have you tried drying it really well and then applying a basic barrier cream like vasoline?? (it was what they recommended on bottoms in hospital - for newborn poos :o ) - might keep the dribble off that area??
HTH??

Bepanthen cream works really well for my DD's dribble rash - it's a barrier as well so I just put it on at regular intervals, I have also had great success with aloe and paw paw ointment:thumbsup:

Yes benthapan and vaseline are the best. Has he had oranges, juice or anything citrus like as my son used to get a real red rash around his mouth when he had manderine

ozzy occasionally gets this too and i find pawpaw ointment gets rid of it overnight. good luck!
Umm...is it still just a rash, or is it little sores, like the skin has broken? Also what kind of dummy are you using?
The reason I ask is that when my DS was about 13mths, so a bit older than yours, he got a rash on his top lip and within 2 days it had gone from nothing to being slightly infected and needing antibiotics...the dr also said it looked like dermatitis. He used Nuk dummies.
The only way to clear his up was to get rid of the dummy.
Sorry, I'm probably not being much help...I guess just keep trying the creams and find a dummy that doesn't touch his face much.

I'd use paw paw ointment as well - the best thing ever, should clear things up for the weekend.
