Volunteer work

Hi i was wondering if anyone had any volunteer work in the NSW (campbelltown/liverpol areas)

I am after helping out young mums if possible or children in need

I am planning on becoming a foster mum in a few years time but would love to help out now when I can

My mum volunteers through Barnardos, although in Wollongong- She is a volunteer in the BEYHSS- it stands for "Barnardos Early Years Home Support Service". She works with young families who might need some extra support. Mum finds it to be very rewarding, especially now that all of her children are grown.
It is possible that Barnardos in your region offer a similar program- I would recommend contacting them!

I 2nd that...I am constantly seeing adds in the Bankstown torch for ppl to help with bernardos.
I would do it, if i wasnt just about to have a nb on the way.

From memory there will be a working with kids check and there is also training.

i use to volunteer at a respite centre for special needs children. as far as i knwo they are always happy to have any help offered.
